Angora Shade is an American author living in what she lovingly refers to as "Sheep Shit Nowhere" Europe. In an attempt to add some spice to her small town life, Ms Shade began writing explicit erotica as a form of entertainment. Exploring the boundaries of acceptable sexual literature, she often seeks to create stories that not only entertain others but also expose and push against the negative stigma surrounding sex in modern day society. She believes that sex, in literature, art, personal thought, and physical nature, should be celebrated and expressed freely and as easily as any God given freedom. Her favorite themes in writing include revenge, self discovery, alternative materials for love play/bdsm, as well as anything that produces a good tingle, sizzle, or laugh. When not writing, Ms Shade enjoys red wine, travel, dancing, classic cartoons, baking, and creating fine art."
A note from Angora:
I was recently part of Oleander Plume's and the Sister's In Smut second edition of "Chemical Sex" which is a chocolate aphrodisiac anthology called "Chemical Sex: Just One More" The idea behind the anthology is this wonderful chocolate company whose chocolates help people crawl out of their sexual shell and truly embrace their sexuality. All the stories are self positive, range all over the straight and LGBTQ+ spectrum, and vary in themes from contemporary to mythic. My story contribution called "Beast" blends contemporary and paranormal to bring the reader out of the typical erotic reading experience, and into something that bends rules and norms. It's also really fun. I don't want to give too much away, but basically, a young woman encounters someone she doesn't expect to meet while camping... Readers can find out more about this anthology, my story, and about all the wonderful contributors on my blog angorashade.blogspot.com, from the Sisters In Smut (sistersinsmut.com) , or can go grab the book right from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/1733842616) It's even on Kindle Unlimited.
I'm also excited to announce I'm part of Best Women's Erotica Volume 5 from Cleis Press and edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel, releasing December 10th. You can find it for preorder on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Best-Womens-Erotica-Year/dp/1627782907). The theme of this year's collection is "outrageous." My contribution is a story called "Vintage Treasures" about a straight married couple whose sex life has become a bit more routine than they'd like to admit. After purchasing a new home and organizing the mishmash left in the cellar by the previous owners, the couple finds varies treasures, including a box of unexpected vintages goodies...
And finally, I'm in a second publication from Cleis: Best Lesbian Erotica of the Year Volume 4 edited by Sinclair Sexsmith, and also releasing December 10th. You can find it for preorder on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Best-Lesbian-Erotica-Year/dp/1627782958 My contribution is a story called "Love Remembers" about an elderly woman with late-stage cancer who attends her first Gay Pride parade with her daughter and grandchildren. The reader learns about the woman's past through a series of flashbacks that journey through the themes of race and sexuality in the deep south of the 1970s. It's a story that's really important to me, which I cried while writing, and still cry anytime I read it. All happy tears of course!
I'm not sure what's next from Angora Shade. Curious folk can stop by my blog, twitter, or facebook. I love hearing about the book and publishing worlds, love talking shop, and wouldn't mind hearing what erotica (and non-erotica) readers are looking for.
