Humour is often underappreciated in counselling and psychotherapy, but, as an intrinsic part of human nature, can be so helpful. Whilst a lot of difficult emotions and themes are shared in counselling, it's important to allow room for humour as a part of our shared experience. In this episode we discuss 'survival' humour and the benefits of laughter, particularly in relation to service personnel. From Laurel and Hardy to Tim Vine and Ricky Gervais, we also talk about our favourite comedians and what they mean to us.
