After standing together with Peter in Jerusalem and establishing the truth that we are saved by faith in Christ – nothing else and nothing more – Paul confronts Peter in Antioch, a Gentile city. Peter, fearing the Judiazers, stopped eating with the Gentile believers. Peter had not changed his convictions! He knew that the laws were only Jewish customs– he was hypocritical.

Summary: Obedience to God’s Word is holy living and holiness is not negotiable. Our witness to a lost world is linked to our conduct defined by obedience. When we walk in holiness we “adorn the teachings of God our Savior”.
