This week we have an absolute legend in the house. Richard DeLisi, cannabis advocate and entrepreneur, served 32 years of a 98-year sentence for a non-violent cannabis offense. Released in 2020 with help from the Last Prisoner Project, he co-founded DeLisioso with his son Rick and Kenneth Darby. In a remarkable turn, Richard now partners with Trulieve in Florida, the same state where he was once prosecuted, and benefits from the medical cannabis industry he once suffered for. His story fuels DeLisioso's mission for reform and restitution. Not only were we lucky enough to interview Richard Sr., but his son Rick Delisi came along as well to tell his story with his father. Rick DeLisi, co-founder of DeLisioso, is a cannabis industry expert and advocate. Raised in Amsterdam, he gained extensive knowledge and a valuable network. A seasoned extractor since 2015, he's mastered hydrocarbon, water hash, and live rosin techniques. With his expertise and commitment to quality, Rick drives DeLisioso's mission to deliver premium cannabis experiences and promote reform. This is one for the books folks! Y’all know what time it is…. Episode 0098: Huckleberry Hill 

What’s Good Famiglia?! How we doin out there?! It’s almost harvest season folks and episode 100 is right around the corner!! Big things are happening with the Good PizzZa fam! This week I had the honor and the privilege of interviewing John Casali of Huckleberry Hill Farms. John comes from a proud family of cannabis growers and grew up around the plant in Southern Humboldt his whole life. John followed that path as many people did in his region and carried on tradition. One day his farm got raided during a time where you could still getting a lot of trouble for growing cannabis and was sentenced to 10-Life in federal prison. John stood tall and kept his mouth shut like a man and took his charges. After coming home just short of 10 years later, his community was waiting for him, to welcome him with open arms! Since then, John is fully licensed, and he and his partner Rose landscaped one of the most beautiful cannabis farms one could ever visit. We actually had the privilege of shooting the podcast at his farm so enjoy the beautiful background if you happen to watch this on YouTube! It was great to get to know John and learn about his story and all of his contributions to the cannabis community! What’s Good Famiglia?! How we doin out there? This week we got a kick ass episode by an absolute Ass Kicker! The homie from Up the Hill Exclusive coming in hot, fresh off a 2nd round knock out last night! He caught that W in honor of his late father, who taught him the way of the warrior at a very young age. Up the Hill grew up in the gym training wrestling, BJJ, and MMA since he was a pup and he’s still fighting and training like a savage to this day! Along the way he found the plant when he was a young boy in middle school smoking with some older homies. Since then, it was on… Eventually UTH started growing and brokering to make a living and he quickly learned what to do and what not to do from his mentors. What’s Good Famiglia?! How are we doing out there? This week we have two special guests in the building. Two East coaster actually! Bill and Jeff from the Beard Bros started out in Pennsylvania in their early days and then later moved to Florida. Bill was a little older so he naturally got into things first and then Jeff followed suit. Bill set up his first grow in Florida, and that unfortunately came to an end when the spot got raided.  As many of us East coasters did on our respective cannabis journeys, Jeff and Bill eventually packed up and moved to California. The Beard Bros started off in cultivation, but later found their sweet spot with RSO as one of their staple products. Aside from products, Bill and Jeff dove into cannabis journalism they have been in still are one of the best sources to get updates on the cannabis world not only in our country, but around the world as well. They’re operating in a few different states along with Canada with different quality products in their respective markets. What’s Good Famiglia?! I hope everyone is kickin ass and taking names this summer! Damn August already huh?! Things are rockin n rollin over here in PizzZa land! We just locked down our 100th episode guest!! It’s gonna be a Big one! This week we got the big dawg Miami Mango in the house! Hailing from Colombia and then migrating South Florida, Alex has quite the story for you guys! His cannabis journey started in Florida and then, surprise surprise, Sunny California! Alex was very strategic in the game and he has a very interesting background in construction and cannabis that easily blended together. Alex had a nice operation going in NorCal until he ran into some trouble with the law. A case that was open for a few years and all of the co defendants kept their mouths shut! After a massive L, millions in fines and lawyer fees, Alex was forced to rebuild. Fast forward to present, Miami Mango  has a beautiful facility in Sacramento and is back at it!
