Rodger Hayward has defeated Gordon Barnhart to becomes the new Municipalities of Sask. president. Barnhart came under fire when word came out in early January that he travelled to Hawaii during the pandemic. Hayward has been the mayor of Naicam since 2000, and served two terms as vice-president of towns for the organization. He joins Gormley to discuss his new role.

On Tuesday the federal government announced Bill C-21, which would allow cities to ban handguns and includes a new buy-back program for banned firearms. Under the new legislation, municipalities can ban handguns through bylaws restricting their possession, storage, and transportation. Serious penalties will back-up the bylaws, including jail time for people who violate municipal rules. Tracey Wilson with the Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights joins Gormley to discuss the new legislation and how it will affect law-abiding gun owners in Canada.

A man in Warman is on an interesting journey, aiming to trade a deck of cards for a new Tesla by adding value over a number of trades. Tyler Golding has already gone from essentially nothing to thousands of dollars in value and seems to be well on his way to his goal of the new vehicle.
