How would we respond if a judge declared a man innocent and then condemned him to death? In this case the crowd not only supports the unjust decision but calls for death. Why would Jesus allow this to happen to him when he could have stopped it at any moment?

After Peter has betrayed Jesus three times he looks up and into the face of Jesus. In an instant Peter realized that Jesus knew, knew that Peter had betrayed him, knew that Peter wasn't courageous, knew that despite Peter's talk, he was a coward. The truth is each of us must come to an end of our belief in self to find life in Jesus, that was the journey of Peter.

Jesus warned his disciples that following him would involve hard times. But Jesus also showed them what to do to get through. In this passage we see what it looks like to walk like Jesus in the rough times and how to love those who hate.

What makes someone great? Is it ability, status, power or success? It all depends on how you define greatness. In this passage Jesus redefines greatness, showing us that greatness is the opposite to how we often view it.

2 Corinthians 5:18-20, Romans 1:24-28, Psalm 139:13-16

The World offers only false hopes of transformation, satisfaction and happiness. When it comes to how we treat our transgender friends, we need to love them, pray for them and share the Gospel with them. Only God and the Gospel can bring true transformation.

Genesis 14 displays how then and now the reasons for war are the same: people, plunder and power. However, the Bible gives us hope of a time when the reasons and need for wars will ultimately end.

Romans 13:1-7

God is in control, despite what political parties, leaders, others may think. God is in control. In this passage the leaders plan to kill Jesus, but we are shown that God is in control every step of the way.

In this passage Jesus shares a warning for his followers who get distracted while waiting for Jesus to return and are consumed by the cares of this world. We must keep our eyes on Jesus and walk with passion and purpose to stay strong until the end.
