Jack Lennox (1924-2016) grew up in Curran, Co Londonderry, Northern Ireland. He served in the Royal Air Force during World War 2, and was saved in Magherafelt some time after the war ended. In 1971 Mr Lennox was commended to full-time service and laboured in the gospel through a number of decades of faithful service. Mr Lennox had a great interest in hymns and often wove details about hymns and their writers into his messages. He was invited to speak about hymns and their authors at a meeting in Ballymena in January 2006 in which he mentioned some of the great hymn writers of the past: Thomas Kelly, Sir Edward Denny, J.G. Deck, Anne Ross Cousin, Isaac Watts, Fanny Crosby, William Cowper, Charles Wesley and Margaret Carson. This is a recording of that message.

Jeremiah Collins grew up “going to meetings”. He knew the gospel from childhood, but that was the problem: the gospel was so familiar to him that he stumbled over it and made very heavy weather of receiving it. When God convicted him of his sin and danger, he earnestly sought salvation, but still could not find deliverance. Listen to how Jeremiah finally found peace and rest in Christ (Testimony given at La Crosse Conference, Wisconsin, USA, 2015)

Butch Paquette grew up in a drunkard’s home in a poor community in Northern Ontario, Canada. After his father left, young Butch’s mother raised 7 children alone, reciting the rosary with them each evening at bedtime. Though an altar boy in the church, Butch became a troubled young lad who ended up spending time in numerous foster homes. Life went from bad to worse, leading to a number of visits to prison. But God worked in Butch’s life and in 1980 he moved in with a Christian landlord called Jim McCandless who invited him to Gospel Tent meetings! For the first time he learned he needed to be born again as the two preachers, Norman Crawford and Paul Kember faithfully set forth the truth of the gospel. The Holy Spirit convicted Butch of his sin and his danger of perishing in hell. Listen and learn how Butch was saved at 2.00am on July 27th 1980.
