We find ourselves in a unique “life story.” (also: worldview, metanarrative)

We discover a life-giving faith when we are chasing the ultimate over immediate.

The narrative Jesus invites us into is healing.

Healing (blessing from last week) in your life and then to be agents for healing and blessing in our community.

Separation. Filling. Blessing. This is a theme that shows up all throughout the Bible. We explore how it informs who we are as a church and how we are called to live in the community.

Embracing Exile is about living faithfully as God’s unique people in the world.

A study on how to be a Christian or Christ follower in this world where it’s so counter cultural.

This study follows the book Embracing Exile by Scott Daniels and we recommend picking up the book and following along with us.

What is a Sherpa?

A Sherpa is a member of a Tibetan people living on the high southern slopes of the Himalayas in eastern Nepal and known for providing support for foreign trekkers and mountain climbers. Their bodies are genetically adapted to handle the high altitude. We can learn a lot from a guy like Tenzing Norgay who helped Edmund Hillary make the first summit of Everest. My friend @augustnelson says “we find purpose in helping others to the top.” That’s exactly what Jesus spent his life doing for others. Teaching us how to live life to the full. (John 10:10)

Leadership matters & how do you develop as a leader? Does the crowd sway your opinion about what to do with Jesus? We all have a circle of influence and leadership. Where has God placed you in leadership? Luke chapter 23:1-25 reveals how a few leaders missed opportunities to use their station in life for good.

Luke 22:7-19 Last Supper :: A Seat at the Table What was the best meal you’ve ever had? Jesus has a meal with his disciples that is really significant. He shares the Passover meal which was a yearly celebration reminder of when God redeemed and set his people free form slavery. Jesus uses the wine and the bread as a reminder of Gods continued work of redemption through Christ and ultimately in and through us as well as he calls us to pour out our lives for the Gospel.

This weeks study is in Luke 21:5-19. Jesus teaches his disciples about the end times. Matthew 24:36  “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

We identify ourselves in many ways but what we discover in this passage of Luke 20:20, that Jesus calls us to identity defined by the image of God. We were created in His image and so all of our life is meant to be given to be used for His purposes. He calls us to love God and love others. Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and give to God what is God's. Are we giving God our all?

God calls us to relationship, Scripture teaches us to communicate: how, how often, when, why. But do we?
