118-There are so many claims about Jesus’ return and what God plans on doing in the future. Understanding God’s intentions will help us live in reality.
God has told His prophets and messengers His plans so we can be prepared and live in harmony with truth. Understanding Jesus’ second coming is important for every human being to understand so on today’s Grace at LAST Podcast, we look at Jesus’ words. Not self-proclaimed prophets taking scripture out of context but rather, what did Jesus Himself say when His return would be?
Once we see Jesus’ words in context, things are going to become much clearer and we will learn truths that will set us free, even if we think this topic is irrelevant.

117-If we are in Christ, we are new creatures. Where do we as new creatures currently live if we are waiting for God to bring in a kingdom sometime in the future? What can we learn about the first creation to help us appreciate today and what God’s new creation offers?
When we learn from the first Adam and the contrast in the last Adam, Jesus, we grow. We grow in understanding which makes us grow in love because the appreciation and gratitude just wells up in us and overtakes us. There is so much beauty in this inheritance that belongs to those who are “In Christ”.
Let’s grow and learn from the scriptures that tell the Greatest Story Ever Told.

116-People are exhausted. So many people are hearing sermons about serving God and doing the work of ministry to show their gratitude and appreciation for all Christ did for them. Or maybe we are hearing messages about the favor and blessings we will receive when we are faithful in our self-less lifestyle and choices. We are given lists of things we can do to be close to God and live the abundant life we read about in scriptures. These are common approaches in our education and teaching when it comes to the Bible. Afterall, we don’t want to “just be hearers of the word, we must be doers as well.” But is that the message of the Bible? Is it written so we have an outline on how to live to be blessed or is there a deeper more meaningful message we can understand that will help us experience more intimacy in our relationship with Christ?
What has God been trying to tell us since the Garden of Eden? Let’s learn from Cain and Abel’s sacrifice they brought to the Lord and why one was accepted by God, and the other rejected.
These are some of the things we talk about on this Grace at LAST Podcast. I am so glad you joined in today.

115-Going to church can be a difficult area in our lives. Is it a one size fits all solution or is there more freedom than that available? What does God think when it comes to church attendance and how do we know? These are questions many of us face and ask often, even if it is in only within our own mind. The church is a beautiful creation, and we do not want to be poisoned in our thinking it is less. God created the church, and we should appreciate and respect it in that context.
Let’s learn together what really pleases God when it comes to church attendance.

114-Many of us are learning more about the dividing line in the old and new covenant and the importance of understanding the audience to whom scripture is written.
Understanding this is important and today we talk about it in the context of financial giving. Specifically, tithing.
Money can be a real stumbling block and be difficult to understand what we should do. Most of us sincerely want to know what God expects and we want to please Him. We want to understand God's heart and what He has to say to those of us on this side of the cross.
These are some issues we need clarity on because it can be confusing and leave us unsure. Today we look at some scriptures in their context to gain understanding on what God thinks of giving, in light of the cross and resurrection.
I am so glad you joined in today.

113-Understanding the audience is crucial to understanding the Bible. Otherwise we get very confused and life becomes more difficult than it should be. Jesus offers us rest in the new covenant but many Christians are uptight, discouraged, depressed, anxious and afraid.
Today on the Grace at LAST Podcast we look at the audience to whom the Bible was written. We also look at the context of many familiar passages we may misunderstand and therefore bring us into bondage. Christ came to do the very opposite. It was for freedom that Christ came and set us free.
Thanks for joining in as we take a look with a fresh perspective at some common verses most have heard many times, but possibly have misunderstood.
Scripture is taken from NASB 1995:
James 3:1
John 8:44
Matthew 23:27-28
Luke 24:44
Hebrews 9:15
Genesis 12:1-3
John 15:18-25
John 17:20-24
112-If we do not understand who scripture is talking to, we are going to be confused. We must immediately identify the audience and remain there. Turning the intended audience inward every time will put us under laws and commandments that were never meant for us and bring fear into our lives. There is no better example than the Book of Revelation to confuse the audience and bring fear. The new covenant is a message of grace and peace, not fear. We look at the first three verses in the book to identify the audience and see what we can learn about our own lives from understanding to whom the book was written.
Thank you for joining in the Grace at LAST Podcast as we look at scripture from a fresh perspective of the finished work of Christ.
Revelation 1:1-4
Matthew 24:29-31
111-Is the new heaven and new earth already here? What is the new earth and how can I accept it being here when evil and war is all around us? I thought the new heaven and new earth were supposed to be perfect with no more crying, tears, disease, hate, war or sickness? Obviously those things are all around us so how can you ask me to believe this is the new earth?
These are all very valid questions and we are going to look at some possible answers on today’s Grace at LAST Podcast. I am so glad you joined me today.
Let’s see what the Holy Spirit wants to teach us .

110-Do you like to solve puzzles? Do you love it when confusion leaves and the picture begins to take focus and your mind becomes clear?
No more struggling to understand the deep mysteries of God especially when it comes to the book of Revelation. Countless hours have been spent by well-meaning people who want to be blessed by the Lord. No child of God does not want the Lord’s blessings in their life. So, we try and understand this prophecy and we only get more confused. Today the picture may begin to take focus, it did for me. And as always, I love to share what the Lord wants to teach the body of Christ. Let’s see what the Holy Spirit wants to say to each one today.
2 Corinthians 5:17

95-The Bible contains a message God wants the world to know. Every original word is inspired by God. However, there have been a lot of changes along the way. How do we know what to believe and trust? Can we trust every word printed in our Bibles today? Those things and more on today's Grace at LAST podcast.
