Dino Roseland is a missionary from Belize. He and his family started Samuel's Sanctuary. Their mission is to reach the children and people of Belize with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Samuel's Sanctuary is dedicated to caring for at-risk children. Dino spoke from experience when he preached from Mark 10:13-31. He spoke of the marvelous truth that when we surrender all to Him, He rewards us in incredible ways.

Guest speaker, Bill Loveless from Christ is Life Ministries explains the difference between "A" life and "THE" life. He asks the question - If your Christian life is not producing ongoing changes, and you are not experiencing victory, freedom or healing of woundedness, all these that God promises. Is it possible that you are not living THE life?

Our flesh is incapable of righteousness and that only in Christ Jesus can we be made righteous and innocent before God. But we tend to lose sight of this truth - that we deserve nothing but God’s wrath.If we can grasp how hopeless our situation is without him, it removes our pride; our entitlement thinking; our boastfulness; our anger over being mistreated; our resentment towards people. So many things get put right in our life when we connect with the reality that we deserve wrath and instead He gives grace.

Romans 2 is really for church people who feel they have the moral high ground because of their moral behavior. Verse 6 quotes an Old Testament verse that says God will render to each person according to his deeds. There will be glory, honor and immortality and eternal life for those who persevere in doing good. But to those who are selfish or disobedient to what is true, there will be God’s wrath, indignation, tribulation and distress. It’s pretty black and white. But there is something we need to fully understand about this passage. Only Jesus can do good works in us.

Has our beloved nation exchanged the truth of God for a lie and started worshipping itself rather that the Creator who is blessed forever? When anyone, an individual, a family, a society officially says that they want a life without God and His truth, there are devastating results.

This sermon is a charge to open our spiritual eyes to see God’s presence and blessings in the unseen. We typically limit our concept of blessings to things like answered prayer, supernatural provision, and other positive events. But sometimes God blesses us in the midst of difficulty with things like inner strength, new insight, or greater spiritual maturity. Let us not be discouraged in the hardships we may face! In 2 Corinthians 4:18, Paul says, “Fix your eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen”. God has great plans for us in the unseen. As we kneel before him, we should know that God gets down on his knees among us; gets on our level and shares himself with us.

Associate Pastor Chris Graves teaches from 1 John 1:9 about the cleansing power of confession. What would it look like if we allowed daily confession to transform our lives and relationships? Confession leads to tranformation because by doing so (IF we confess our sins as the verse says) we allow God to show us opportunities for the act of confession to mend relationships, remove guilt and shame, and reveal the power of Christ.

It’s God’s heart that you live in the freedom that the gospel brings. He wants you to believe in Him for everything. He wants you to see the futility of life lived on your terms. This Scripture passage today (Romans 1:184-25) is difficult because it seems so negative. You don’t get any warm feelings because it hits hard at the ramifications of denying the eternal power and glory of God. But we have to keep coming back to the reality of what life looks like without him. We have to keep coming back to our deep sense of need for Him.

Romans 1:8-15:Paul expresses affection and friendship with the church in Rome and yet he has never been there and probably knows few if any of the people there. So what does that tell us about relationships within the Body of Christ, right off the bat? It shows us that if someone is in Christ, they're family. We have a common heritage in Jesus and a common future in Jesus. All Christians are family to us. Other churches in town are family. Missionaries are family. Christians we don’t even know are family.
