This lesson considers the living hope given to every born-again believer in Christ. Peter reminds us that salvation is not fragile, uncertain, or dependent on human strength. It is guarded by the power of God, received through faith, and destined to be fully revealed in the last time.

Dear friends, Romans 2:6–8 presses upon us a searching truth: God will repay each person according to his works. This lesson does not reduce eternal life to mere duration, nor heavenly reward to impersonal possessions stored away at a distance. Instead, it points us to Christ Himself—the Life, the Truth, the Kingdom, and the inheritance of every believer.

This lesson considers the believer’s labor before the Lord in light of Romans 2:6–7. Scripture teaches that God will render to each person according to his deeds, yet the true measure of service is not merely outward activity, but the motive of the heart. The believer is called to persevere in good works, seeking the glory, honor, and immortality that belong to the life God has prepared in Christ.

This lesson considers the believer’s inheritance described in 1 Peter 1:4–5. Peter points the church away from fading earthly security and toward a heavenly inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, unfading, and guarded by the power of God. The purpose of this study is to encourage believers to look forward with faith, obedience, and hope rather than backward toward the temporary pleasures of this world.

Eternal life is more than mere existence; it is the life God gives to those who seek glory, honor, and immortality through perseverance in doing good. it is that which after receiving the gift of eternal life it is pursuing the promised life of abundance.

This lesson reminds us that God is perfectly just. He sees every deed, weighs every motive, and will render to each person according to what has been produced in the life. For the believer, this truth encourages faithful perseverance in the good works God prepared beforehand. For the unbeliever, it warns that rejecting Christ leaves a person accountable before the righteous judgment of God.

The saints in Rome were the called-out ones. Remember that Rome was a mixed society, much like today. People came from every climate, place, and background, and many were called out of extreme paganism. Becoming a saint does not mean an instant saintly walk with the Lord. We all carry much baggage with us into the new life as we are called out by God.

This lesson invites us to consider the fullness of God’s grace: His common grace toward all people, His saving grace in Christ, and His sustaining grace that brings believers into maturity, confident hope, and the promise of an eternal inheritance.

This lesson calls each believer to honest self-examination before God. Romans 2:5–8 reminds us that stubbornness, unrepentance, and empty religious confidence are dangerous when a person stands before the righteous judgment of God. The purpose of this study is to consider where we stand with the Lord, how we are walking before Him, and what Scripture teaches about judgment, discipline, reward, and accountability.

The justice of God is good and perfect. It is the justice of God that disciplines, corrects, and also blesses. Because God alone sits upon the judgment seat, the believer must be careful not to assume the role of judge, jury, and executioner over another person’s soul.
