Scripture: 1 Samuel 22:6-23

Skeptics often use pain and suffering as “proof” that God doesn’t exist or, if he does, that he is not in control of all things. Even for those who are Christians, suffering may cause them to doubt God’s sovereign control and loving care for them. However, the truth is, pain and suffering actually provide the rebar for the foundation of our faith. When we see pain, suffering and destruction brought about by evil in the world, it actually reinforces the concrete truth of God’s sovereign control over the universe.
