God dreams about us; of what we can become and what He can do through us!

Joseph had a dream but he made the mistake of thinking it was for him and about him. Then the Lord in

His grace took him on a journey to refine both the dream and the dreamer.

What does your dream look like today? How did you "seed" that dream.

How has it been refined over the years? How have you changed over the years?

Do you still have a dream that includes taking your place in "God's big dream" of reaching the nations?

God has given GCC a vision for the future. It is bigger than we can accomplish on our own. Some

parts are clear and some are coming into sharper FOCUS. Let us all grow, change, and move

together into the fulfillment of God’s big vision for GCC!

How do we hear from God?

According to the Bible, God has been speaking to the human heart since the beginning of creation. He

speaks to us often and in many different ways, but we have to listen carefully and believe what He says.

God speaks through His creation, through people & circumstances, through the Bible and the Holy

Spirit but God has fully expressed himself through Jesus Christ. Because God loves us so much He sent

His son Jesus to tell us more about who He is, to tell us about His Kingdom and the mission of His

Church, to tell us the plans and purposes He has for our lives. But mostly Jesus came to tell us how

much God loves us and has made a way for us to be forgiven so we can have a relationship with Him

that will last forever.

In Acts 13 we have an account of the first Christians gathering in prayer and launching out on missions as a result. How did they learn to pray? What types of prayer were they engaged in? How can we learn from them?

Texts for this Sunday: Acts 13: 1-3, Matthew 6:5-15. Luke 11:1-13.

“One day as they were worshiping God — they were also fasting as they waited for guidance — the Holy Spirit spoke…” (Acts 13:2, from THE MESSAGE). As we start the year, we believe the Lord is inviting us to corporately seek His face in worship, prayer, and fasting. And as we seek Him and wait on Him, and FOCUS on Him, we anticipate that the Lord will speak direction and guidance for this New Year.
