The perception of people is one of our greatest fears. Why do the thoughts of others matter to us so much? Our pursuit of Jesus is more important than what people think of us. Sometimes we try to keep a private pursuit when Jesus calls us to a public pursuit.

What does it take for you to feel completely safe in a scary situation? Fear is the number one reason we don't take our next step in following Jesus. The loss of control is one of our greatest fears. Ultimately fear will drive us to control and rid us of compassion. Faith lives life with an open hand.

Jesus loved you enough to give you a second chance. Jesus loved you enough to carry all your shame. Jesus loved you enough not to let you stay the same. Jesus gives freely but what you do with his gift matters to him greatly. The empty grave is proof that there is another chapter in your story.

Pastor Cory reminds us that everyone is invited to the table to sit at the table, it is how we leave the table that matters. Just as the disciples shared the last supper with our Savor, we are welcome at the table and will one day will share the feast with our King.

Pastor Andrew wraps up our series on discipleship. How do others know that you know Jesus? How others know you know Jesus is not how you know you know Jesus. Knowing about Jesus, and knowing Jesus, are not the same thing.

How do we become fishers of people in a sea that seems to have no fish? Because Jesus invested in Simon and his family, Simon was willing to listen to Jesus. We need to invest in others' lives if we are going to disciple other. Jesus is calling us to something much bigger than ourselves.

How do you decide who to trust? Jesus' authority was evident over both the spiritual as well as the physical world. How will we respond to the authority of Jesus? Give Jesus full authority over your spiritual life as well as your physical life. What is most difficult for you to give Jesus authority over?
