Being the betrayer is one of the deepest guilts to overcome. Every sin seeks to uphold our own identity while denying our connection to Jesus. We've all done something to put Jesus in the grave. Hope lives in an empty tomb. Jesus put our sin and guilt in a tomb. We need to leave it there.

Why doesn't God keep us from experiencing difficulty in life? Following Jesus means preparing for difficult days not escaping difficult days. Prayer is our tether to hope in difficult times. True prayer requires us to submit to and accept God's will in every situation. Are your prayers guided by your flesh or by the spirit?

Being more concerned with status than compassion is a sign of false faith. False Faith is hopeless. Jesus offers a greater calling. Pursuit of Jesus will always lead us to prioritize him and not our preference. Don't put hope in places it does not belong. Do you feel hopeful or hopeless?

The idea that we can be good enough to earn our way to heaven is not a new concept. Some people will trip over Jesus in their pursuit of God. Some people will be crushed by the weight of his authority. What happens if your foundation fails? What happens if your foundation fails?

God cares deeply about the stewardship of our resources. God measures success by the multiplication of what he has entrusted to us. Multiplication takes work and risk. Being comfortable with what we've been given will cost us the little we have. If we fail at multiplication we have failed to fulfill our mission as followers of Jesus.
