Timeout, pause, and rest all aim to achieve the same goal, the only difference being the length of time involved, which can range from a few minutes to extended periods. As with the English proverb, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”, a productivity-obsessed life can make you forget to take time out to relax, breathe, and recharge, which if not taken seriously can be detrimental to mental and physical health.
Personal timeouts can take many forms, such as exercise, meditation, hobbies, or simply taking a walk, and they can be adapted to fit individual needs and preferences.

Even as society is changing towards gender equality, patriarchal family settings still exist, and the cultural norm still holds that leadership characteristics are more often associated with men.
Women have made great strides, but the journey is far more than what we think it is. Women need to do more to even the tide in gender equality. We need to empower more women to take the seat of leadership because women leadership compared to men are totally different. In this episode, Nikki Tang delivers a very moving encouragement for women to be game changers, to utilize their full potential, to take a good grip at opportunities and to be their own champion.
Women, this episode is dedicated to all of you, be your own advocates!

Are you scared to ask for help for fear of looking incompetent or maybe it could be because of pride? Whatever it is, this self-handicapping behavior can sabotage your chances of success. While it is good to protect our self-esteem, it can also come at a high cost.
Asking for help as a sign of weakness is a misconception because in reality it is a hallmark of a mature and resilient learner. In fact, the number one benefit in asking for help is RESILIENCE. If we are able to ask for help and obtain feedback, we can overcome setbacks and grow – one of the key traits needed to enhance our resilience.
Be in the know why it is good to ask for help by listening to the very end.

We talk about love, we write about love, we sing about love, we declare that we are in love, but are those the real essence of love? The truth is - love is something ALL of us are - already are! All of us are the image of what love is. When we disconnect from this, we sense a ‘loss’ which then propels us in our quest to find the love we think we have ‘lost’.
Love is really powerful and as people who are created into the image of a loving God, we can be awesome beings. You, me, they, we all are the true essence of love. When we try to understand the nature of love, we start from the very essence of creation. This whole world exists because of love.
This episode is timely as we are just about a few days before Christmas and Christmas is all about LOVE. Give LOVE this Christmas and enjoy listening!

When you hear or read the word growth, what comes to mind is progress, change or an increase in something, right? The ability to learn is one of the ways in which a person can grow. When we learn something new, we get the feeling of accomplishment and it is a good feeling. Developing a growth mindset needs an emphasis on getting better at something through persistence and an open mind.
One of the characteristics of having a growth mindset is taking ownership of your actions. When we take responsibility for our shortcomings and focus on how to improve, we grow and we become trustworthy. Through this episode, Nikki will share some techniques to cultivate your growth mindset and integrate it in your everyday life.

We all make decisions many times in our lives, some of them minor ones such as what brand to buy for a new washing machine. It is inevitable for us to face making major decisions when we are at the crossroads of our life, such as whether to leave our 9 to 5 day job or take the risk of starting our own business. When faced with a decision, we are more likely to take the path ‘we want’ rather than the path ‘we should’.
Thoughtful decision making comes with practicing mindfulness and we are able to make the right decisions when we are aware of the facts concerning the subject that we are to decide on.
You will have a lot of takeaways on how to make better decisions by listening to this episode. Enjoy!
