  • The Hidden Life of a Disciple
In Matthew 6:5-18, Jesus teaches that true communion with God happens away from the spotlight. Prayer and fasting are not religious performances but relational practices where his people seek him with sincerity and quiet trust. Both practices train us to recognize our dependence on the Father rather than the attention of others. Join us on Sunday as we explore how these rhythms shape the life of a follower of Christ.

  • Your Father Who Sees
Matthew 6:1-4 reminds us that true righteousness is aimed at pleasingthe Father rather than impressing the people around us. As we continuethrough the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus calls us to examine not justwhat we give, but why we give. Our acts of mercy, generosity, and carefor others are meant to flow from a heart shaped by grace, not adesire for recognition. Join us on Sunday as we explore living beforethe face of God as our audience of One.

  • The Wronged Believer
You will be mistreated. You will be taken advantage of. You will be hurt. These arent experiences we enjoy thinking about, much less experiencing. Yet in Matthew 5:3848, Jesus shows us how his people are to respond to such things in His kingdom. His teaching is some of the most counterintuitive, difficult, and gospel-saturated instruction we will ever encounter. Join us as we consider Jesus call to trust God, resist retaliation, and love our enemies.

  • A Faithful People
How much weight do our words carry? Sometimes we feel the need to add qualifiers like I promise or Stick a needle in my eye just to convince others that we mean what we say. Our words can fluctuate so much in their reliability that even the vows we make as spouses or church members, can lose their weight.
But what if our words reflected the character of our God? If God is faithful to His Word, ought we to be faithful to ours?
Join us this Sunday as we look at Matthew 5:3137 and hear Jesus call for His people to be a faithful peoplepeople whose commitments are trustworthy and whose yes means yes and whose no means no.

  • Thoughts and Intentions of the Heart

In Matthew 5:2130, Jesus moves beyond merely addressing outward actions to reveal the deeper condition of the heart. We will examine His teaching on anger and murder, as well as lust and adultery, discovering how Gods kingdom calls us to a righteousness that goes far beyond external obedience. Join us on Sunday as the words of Jesus challenge us to confront the roots of our sin.

  • True Righteousness: I Say to You
This Sunday we step into one of the most important moments in the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:17-20 that He did not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. Yet, why do so many people treat the Old Testament, especially the Law, as if it's obsolete? In this passage, Jesus shows us that true righteousness issomething far deeper thanjust keeping rules and staying out of trouble. Join us as we explore how Jesus reframes our understanding of the Law and the pursuit of righteousness.

  • Salt and Light
Many of us grew up singing the familiar childrens song, This little light of mine, Im gonna let it shine! The words are seared into our memories, yet living them out faithfully can be far more difficult. Distractions, idols, the desire for others approval, and the pursuit of worldly success can all become obstacles that keep us from letting the light of Christ shine through us. Join us this Sunday as we turn to Matthew 5:1316 and hear that childhood refrain once againbeseeching Gods Spirit for his help and strength.

  • The Persecuted
Jesus has a surprising way of defining blessing. We tend to think blessing comes from life going smoothly, not from difficulty or struggle. Yet in Matthew 5:10-12, Jesus says that those who are persecuted are the ones who are blessed. Our hearts naturally recoil because no one wants to suffer persecution. Still, Jesus teaches that this is the path to blessing. At this point, our desires and Jesus words stand in sharp contrast, which is where the Gospel does its work. It reorients and rewires how we move through life and what we pursue most. Join us on Sunday as we look at the final Beatitude and the closing bookend that theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

  • The Peacemakers
On Sunday, we will continue in our study of the Beatitudes with "Blessed are the peacemakers" (Matthew 5:9). Peacemaking is far more than having a peaceable disposition. Making peace means that we step toward what is broken so it can be restored. Jesus has made peace with us through his cross, so peacemaking is an external expression of the Gospel at work in us. We extend the reconciliation he has already accomplished. As a result, we resemble the Father and are called sons of God. Join us on Sunday as we explore how we are invited into the blessing of pursuing peace around us.

  • Blessed Are The Merciful
Is there any sweeter word in Scripture than mercy? To receive mercyto be spared the punishment we rightly deserveis central to the gospel and a blessing beyond compare. But what does Jesus mean when He tells us to be merciful? We love receiving mercy, but are we really called to extend that same mercy to others?
Join us this Sunday as we continue our journey through the Beatitudes and considerMatthew 5:7: Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Together, well explore what it means to live as people who have received the mercy of Christand who, in turn, are called to show that mercy to others.
