Dr. Moore's mother asks Henry to work thinning vegetables in her garden. When he's done, Dr. Moore has him clean out the garage. It proves to be profitable in more ways than one for Henry. Meanwhile back at the boxcar, the other children all pitch in to build a fire pit.

The Boxcar Children are settling into their new home in the woods. But after they have all gone to bed, Watch sits up and starts growling. Is there a prowler outside?!

While Henry continues to work for Dr. Moore, Jessie, Violet and Benny go exploring to find new treasures to bring back to the boxcar.
