This week's theme is Impermanence represented by the Iris and card 07. In Latin, iris means rainbow. The rainbow's ephemeral nature is what gives it beauty. We are invited this week to look at what is impermanent with fresh eyes.

This week’s theme is Beautiful Sadness (yes, sadness) and is represented by the daffodil in Card 21. We explore Beautiful Sadness and appreciate the fragility that is necessary to grow and change. It’s also a reminder that saying goodbye is an invitation to say hello to something new. We can honor both what is gone while we welcome what is now.

This week’s theme is Friendship and is represented by card #32 and the nasturtium. The root word for friendship is related to love, the kind that takes you on an adventure.
We never know which card will be drawn.
But over the years of practicing with the Gratitude Blooming card deck, we’ve learned one thing: there is no random. The card finds you.
In one of our gratitude circles, a woman in hospice in Texas joined us — as she often did — to pull a card. This time, the card she drew was Friendship, represented by the nasturtium.
She wept.
Her best friend had just flown in from Indiana on a one-way ticket to move in with her and her family for the rest of her days.
“Who does that?” she asked aloud.
And then answered herself: “She goes, ‘I’d only do it for you.’ We’ve known each other 45 years.”
That is what friendship means.
Not asking why. Just showing up.

In Season 4 of the Gratitude Blooming podcast, Wayfinding Through the Unknown, a monthly conversation hosted by Belinda Liu and Omar Brownson, we slow down…
Joining us as a regular guest is the brilliant Dr. Paul Wang, whose deep knowledge of Chinese medicine, Daoism, and alchemical traditions expands our understanding of transformation beyond the elements. Together, we embrace the practice of pausing, noticing, and feeling—grounding ourselves in presence as we navigate life's unfolding.
The Gratitude Blooming card deck was inspired by the artist Arlene Kim Suda and her 100 Days of Blooming Love art project. Please rate, review and subscribe. New conversations each month. We want to hear what you're grateful for. Learn more at www.gratitudeblooming.com
