  • Negative Frame Interview: A Bold and Exciting Future
Negative Frame, the London-based metallic hardcore band, will release their long-awaited debut album, ‘Break the Ice’, on August 7th, 2026, via Blood Blast Distribution.
Few bands go into their debut album as refined as Negative Frame, but the noise-mongers have been doing this since 2017. That’s almost a decade of head-banging and spin-kicking wild antics and anybody who has seen them live can attest to their intensity, and brilliance. It’s hardcore, but hardcore with a thick and sinewy metallised edge, and on this album, they push their sound in bold new directions.
In this interview, we talked about the release and how Negative Frame have scratched and clawed their way to success. We talk about their evolving sound, experimenting on this album, becoming more comfortable in their skins, tearing it up live, and so much more.

  • Interview: 'Traversing Realms' with Mountainscape
Mountainscape, the cinematic post-metal band from Reading, England, are back with their brand-new EP, ‘Traversing Realms’, out July 24th, via Road Masochist. A journey through the music and works of imagination that had inspired their own creative endeavours.
The vision behind this EP is fascinating. Mountainscape aren’t just covering music from Dune or the Elder Scrolls, but rather they are using the themes and melodies, breaking them down, and rebuilding them into something else, Mountainscape style. Something familiar, but something fresh and exciting.

Released on May 30th, 2025, ‘Sorrows’ (New Heavy Sounds) is the debut album of rising ‘doomgaze’ band, Cwfen (pronounced ‘Coven’). An album that proven to be very successful, something that has resulted in Cwfen touring extensively with Paradise Lost and Faetooth as well as playing Desertfest London 2026 and Download Festival 2026.
We loved the album, summing it up as:
An album that will haunt your dreams for weeks and months after hearing it, yet you’ll gleefully experience it time and time again. Cwfen have arrived, and no amount of doomy gothic gloom can hide their bright brilliance.
