  • VCTMS
Chicago based metalcore band, VCTMS, return with their brand new EP, Pain Processing II set for release on the 1st of May independently.
Often described as metalcore, or Nu Metalcore, VCTMS incorporate splashes of hip-hop, darkwave, industrial, post-hardcore and more into their sound defying genre boundaries. At their core though, no matter how experimental they get, they are angry, delivering devastating metal, hellbent on groovy, chaotic, blistering and depressive noise with lyrical content that ranges from introspection to homicidal.
VCTMS deliver quite a mammoth EP here, with 7 tracks and around 24 minutes of music, getting them close to album length in some genres. An EP that feels relentless in both intent and execution, balancing sheer aggression with more than enough creativity to keep things engaging throughout. The guest spots add genuine value, while the band’s own versatility gives the record real depth. It can feel overwhelming at times, but that chaos is part of the appeal. Ultimately, Pain Processing II is a heavy, modern release that hits hard, sticks with you, and shows there’s more to VCTMS than just unfiltered brutality.

In this interview, we spoke with vocalist, John and guitarist, Mike, about the new EP and the VCTMS mentality as they end the 'Pain Processing' cycle. We also delve into their work ethic, their creative process, relentlessly touring, and so much more.

Texas death metal force Frozen Soul are back with their new release, ‘No Place of Warmth’, which drops on May 8th, 2026, via Century Media Records.
A blunt and bludgeoning release that not only showcases the band’s death metal prowess, but it's got some unexpected tricks and curveballs too. Some of those twists come in the form of the guest vocal appearances from Devin Swank (Sanguisugabogg), Rob Flynn (Machine Head) and Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance).
In this interview, we spoke with vocalist Chad Green about the album and the journey to its release. We talk about how the record is the defining entry in their catalogue, the guests, playing live, and so much more.

  • Silo Interview: Peering Through the 'Haze'
Haze is Silo’s debut album and a document of internal collapse, survival and uneasy acceptance. Written collectively in the room rather than assembled in isolation, the record captures moments as they happen, instinct over refinement, emotion over perfection. Across thirteen tracks, the album traces cycles of addiction, disillusionment, therapy, love, loss and identity, never offering easy resolution, only honesty.
The album is out on May 1st, 2026, via Easy Life Records.
In this interview we talk about the experience Silo has had creating this album and getting to this point. We talk about the detail within, how they have found their identity, how they are powering forward, and enjoying every single moment, as well as much more.

On neverland [CHAPTER II], SINCE 2000 complete the story they began with chapter I, closing the curtain on a coming of age narrative that confronts the darker corners of growth, identity and healing. Out now via Easy Life Records.

  • Interview: The Exciting Provocative Nature of ANA with Vocalist Anna and Guitarist Josh
Australia has long been a powerhouse for heavy music, but the Melbourne-based outfit ANA is currently carving out a niche that defies traditional categorization. Identifying as a couture symphonic metal band, the group seamlessly merges high-fashion aesthetics with the grandiosity of melodic metal.
On May 29th, 2026 (Eclipse Records), they will release their brand-new full-length album ‘Motivated by Death’. An album that features the provocative ‘Hate Me’ single.
That track, its visually arresting music video, and the response to it, is just one part of our interview with band members, Anna Khristenko (Vocals) and Josh Mak (Guitar). We also talk about the upcoming album, the creative journey the band has been on, and much more.

  • Interview: 15 Minutes at a Time - A Lived Mantra for Alex of The Last Vinci
Cork-based alternative rock trio, The Last Vinci, will release their new album ’15 Minutes at a Time’ on April 17th via Narrow Door Records.
A powerful, deeply personal chronicle of resilience, transformation, and gratitude. At the heart of ‘15 Minutes at a Time’ lies a phrase that frontman Alex Vinci never expected would change his life. Two years ago, after being diagnosed with a chronic illness just ten days before what he believed would be his final European tour, Alex’s wife offered him simple, grounding advice:
Take it 15 minutes at a time.
Those words became a mantra, one that reshaped his creative voice, his view of the world, and ultimately, the soul of this new record. Supported by his family and six children, Alex embarked on a path of rediscovery, learning to live, work, and create in small, determined increments. ‘15 Minutes at a Time’ captures the entirety of that journey: the before, the during, and the after. The album channels the fear, uncertainty, hope, and resilience that transformed a life-changing diagnosis into a profound source of meaning.
In this interview, we dig into the mantra and how Alex has been able to make it intrinsic to his life and how it has inspired this new record. We also talk about the creative journey, the challenges, the joy of playing live, and so much more.

  • Interview: The Indefinable Nature of Sugar Horse - Talking Not a Sound in Heaven with Vocalist/Guitarist Ashley Tubb
Bristol-based experimental outfit, Sugar Horse, will release ‘Not a Sound in Heaven’, the band's 3rd studio album, on 10th April 2026 via Fat Dracula Records.
As indefinable as ever, somehow sounding simpler and more complicated than ever in equal measure, this new Sugar Horse album is unlike anything they’ve ever done before.
A punishing, cerebral, and enthralling dive into the world of experimental heavy music, it sees the band pushing the electronic edge of their sound even further, and thematically draws on the increasingly dark-feeling times we're living through.
In this interview we spoke to vocalist and guitarist Ashley Tubb about the new album and the direction that Sugar Horse has gone in. We also talk about their constant desire to push boundaries and never do the same thing twice, as well as so much more.

  • Interview: Slave Machine - A Modern Evolution - In Conversation with Nervosa's Prika
Nervosa, the Brazilian modern thrash and death metal, are back with their sixth album, ‘Slave Machine’, out April 3rd, 2026, via Napalm Records.
It’s time to thrash… but with a fresh twist! Nervosa are back, settled (thanks to founding guitarist Prika Amaral establishing herself as the vocalist with 2023’s Jailbreak), and in a riotous mood. Delivering an album that expertly blends old-school thrashy ferocity with modern death-infused technicality and anthemic focus. The result is a beast of a record, featuring a manic set of tracks that go varying degrees of hard.
