The Struggle of Doubt: Whether you’re an atheist, an agnostic, a skeptic or a long-time follower of Jesus, you’ve had doubts about the God thing. More often than not those doubts surface when things aren’t going so well. And that intersection can become a dead end for our faith. But it shouldn’t, because our doubts are fertile soil for our faith to grow.

The Struggle to Find Meaning: Perhaps one of the biggest struggles we face in life is to feel like what we have to do (like work or school) is meaningful. It often feels like we’re just going through the motions, checking off the boxes, eating, sleeping and starting over the next day. It doesn’t have to be this way though, and we don’t necessarily need to change what we do… just who we do it for.

The Struggle of Finances: Money gets us a lot in life, including stress. Wondering if there’s enough money to cover the bills is not fun. Worrying every day what the stock market will do isn’t either. Bad news: you can’t stop dealing with money. Good news: you can deal with it differently by learning what it’s actually for.

The Struggle of Balance: Work-life or school-life balance feels more like a pipedream than ever. We’re all so busy with the countless responsibilities we have each and every day. What can we do that isn’t just quitting everything? It starts with being done with leftovers.

Why Pray?: When Jesus taught us how to pray He gave us an example of what it might sound like. The Lord’s Prayer is known and recited the world over. But what if it wasn’t meant to be something we recited over and over, and was about something much deeper?

Say What?: Remember being a kid, asking for a snack and getting this one: “What’s the magic word?” We never really grow out of that, even in a relationship with God. Praying sometimes feels like it has magic words, and if we don’t get them right, we don’t get answers.

Who We Pray To: Motivation makes all the difference. The reasons behind our actions can radically change what those actions mean. This is true even if the action is praying. Why we pray, and who we’re praying for matters.

Burn the Scales: Overestimating the power of our words is impossible. Even though they seem like no big deal, they have the power to change the direction of our lives. And if we’re not careful, they have the power to burn our world down. It just takes one spark.

Measured in Eternity: People will often say things like, “I gotta clean up my language,” but have no idea how. And when it comes to cleaning up all of our words and how we use them, it’s deeper than a list of things we do and don’t say. It’s a heart issue.
