Pour Over: Nobody likes talking about money; especially giving it away. We work hard for whatever number we see in our bank accounts and that makes it deeply personal. But generosity is less about that number or those dollars than you think. It’s not not part of it, but understanding what giving is all about makes it feel less so.

The Best Me is We: If the pandemic taught us anything, it’s that we need other human beings in our lives. We need real connection. Something happens in us and for us when we’re in the same room with others and not alone. It shouldn’t surprise us though, because God’s been telling us that’s how He made us since the beginning.

Don’t Change the World: We all know that “good people” volunteer at soup kitchens & donate blood. But why? Serving isn’t just to make us feel warm & fuzzy- it truly changes something in us. God can use our sacrifice even when we feel too far gone from Him or maybe don’t feel we have anything significant to offer.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name: Deep within every person on Earth is a desire to be known. Unfortunately, many of us live every day feeling like we aren’t. But we don’t have to. God knows each of our names. We just have to be invited to know that by someone who already does.

A God For Us: It’s easy to pick out all the things a church might be against. Should it be so difficult to see what they’re for? What’s it look like for a community of Jesus followers to be all about the things He’s all about? One thing's for sure: He’s for our community. So let’s talk about how we can be too.

The Struggle of Doubt: Whether you’re an atheist, an agnostic, a skeptic or a long-time follower of Jesus, you’ve had doubts about the God thing. More often than not those doubts surface when things aren’t going so well. And that intersection can become a dead end for our faith. But it shouldn’t, because our doubts are fertile soil for our faith to grow.

The Struggle to Find Meaning: Perhaps one of the biggest struggles we face in life is to feel like what we have to do (like work or school) is meaningful. It often feels like we’re just going through the motions, checking off the boxes, eating, sleeping and starting over the next day. It doesn’t have to be this way though, and we don’t necessarily need to change what we do… just who we do it for.

The Struggle of Finances: Money gets us a lot in life, including stress. Wondering if there’s enough money to cover the bills is not fun. Worrying every day what the stock market will do isn’t either. Bad news: you can’t stop dealing with money. Good news: you can deal with it differently by learning what it’s actually for.

The Struggle of Balance: Work-life or school-life balance feels more like a pipedream than ever. We’re all so busy with the countless responsibilities we have each and every day. What can we do that isn’t just quitting everything? It starts with being done with leftovers.
