The bible is clear about the purpose of the devil. He comes to kill and destroy. We are in a spiritual war every day. However, we serve a merciful God who will sound an alarm to alert us of things that come against us. It is up to us to heed these warnings. God is merciful, but we cannot entertain things God regards as bad and expect to emerge unscathed. Apathy in our spirit is a dangerous thing. It opens the door for the enemy to attack. The devil is working overtime to defeat us because no man knows the day or time of the Lord’s return. Because we don’t know the day or time, we too must work overtime to maintain our life living for God. It is time for the people of God to rise up.
