    Members Reviews:
Good series if you don't want stories with violence or creepy stuff in 'em
We were looking for some beginning chapter-books that were reasonably intelligent, nonviolent, not filled with weird messages, unpleasant behavior, violence or issue-oriented anxieties... The "Keeker" series was perfect, about a bright-eyed, sometimes silly little girl nicknamed Keeker who lives on a farm with her parents and various animals, including a mischievous Shetland pony named Plum.
This is the fourth book in the series, and Keeker is now ten years old, but no less kooky. Keeker decides to protect a family of groundhogs that her dad wants to evict from the horse pasture; meanwhile the adults are all focussed on that on her mom's horse, who is about to have a foal, and Keeker gets jealous of all the attention being given the foal. Not the strongest book in the series, but it has its moments. I'd give it a 3.5, if I could.
    Perfect for 1st & 2nd Grade Readers
My daughter is in 2nd grade. She loves to read the Keeker books on her own. They are perfect for 1st or 2nd grade-level readers (not too long, plenty of pictures, interesting stories).

Cute for for the very young
For some reason I did not expect this book to be so juvenile. The cover illustration should have alerted me. This might be a good choice for very young listeners, perhaps 3-5 years old.
    Perfect!
Book is in perfect condition and I'm sure my Grandson, Elliot, will enjoy it for Christmas! :)
    Beginning of a great series.
Patrick Carman created these stories for his daughter while visiting the real Pioneer Park in Walla Walla, Washington. This first book in the wonderful world of Elliot's Park, is about a great adventure for the squirrels of Elliot's Park. The vast cast of characters including: Elliot the book worm with glasses who loves collared shirts, wide ties and solving problems, Mister Nibbles who is a most unusual squirrel who is introduced in the adventure, Roscoe and Coconut the two dog's from the yellow house across the street who love to chase Elliot and his friends, Scratchy Spurs a former rodeo star squirrel with a cowboy hat, spurs and a stick cane, and Sparkle the stargazer who often gets into trouble with the Owls, and many many others. The book has a cast of characters in the back of the key players from the whole series.
In this story the squirrel's of Elliot's Park, are amazed and incensed when a child receives a squirrel as a present at a birthday party held in the park. Elliot and his friends decide that this squirrel must be liberated. So they have Crash the only flying squirrel in the park follow when the party pack's up. They discover that Mr. Nibbles has been taken to the yellow house across the street. The home of Roscoe and Coconut two ferocious squirrel chasing dogs. Elliot can not think of a way to save Mr. Nibbles, so he visits his friend Scratchy, and comes up with a plan. But can the squirrels of Elliot's Park, leave the park and rescue Mr. Nibbles. Read this story and find out!
These books will captivate children of all ages from 5 to 105. I even read it to my two year old and she stayed captivated by the story. The artwork by Jim Madsen is excellent, and children will love his representations of the adventures of the squirrell's. And as an added bonus there are exercises at the end of the book, to create fun for a family or class. In this book they include:
o Elliot and Chip's Trail Mix (GORP)
o Create Your Own Elliot's Park Adventure
    o Sparkle's Starry Night
The book concludes with a preview chapter of the next book The Haunted Hike. Pick up this book by award winning author Patrick Carman for he has created a wonderful world for young readers and for the whole family in these books.
    Excellent read -aloud
I picked up this book on a whim at my childrens' book fair. I am so glad that I did. My sons are 9 and 7. They loved the story. I read it to them and did "voices" with the characters. It was fabulous. The author describes the characters well enough that you can really attribute a certain tone and accent to each of them. The book is short but it has a great story line.

My kiddos at school loved it.
    My Grandchildren love it
This is an amusing story written in short, rhythmic, rhyming sentences, which makes for attractive listening for our 3 and 5 year old grandsons and holds their (often fleeting) attention. I bought it for the easy words and repetition to help our 5 year-old grandson as he learns to read, but the illustrations are bold and expressive, enhancing the humor for both of them. This is one of the few they request again and again.
    Delightful
Simple story of the drip drop of rain inside the house and Pip Squeaks attempt to catch the water. Simple story (escheating problem and problem solving) that is understandable for a 3 year old, with a bit of humor. Our grandson likes to read it over and over.
Drip, Drop (I Can Read Book 1)
This is a darling book about a mouse whose house keeps getting holes in it and it is raining and he is trying to keep his bed from getting wet by putting items to catch the rain. Very enjoyable and my grandkids 5 & 7 can read it themselves.
    Five Stars
    It's a really cute story.

What is not to like about Ronald Morgan?
Hahaha, we love Ronald Morgan. This book is one of our favorites in our home. We love the humor and all the things Ronald Morgan goes through. We have gotten other RM series since. Thank you Ms. Patricia Reilly Giff.
The real Ronald Morgan says books are pretty good.
Wish they were avail in hardcover, but believe it or not, my husband is Ronald Morgan. So we give alot of these for gifts.
    Classic!
My brothers and I had and loved this book growing up so when they started having kids of their own I had to buy it for them. The book made us laugh when we were little and still makes us laugh as adults.
    A Terrible Day! Great Story!
This book is so well written and very humorous. The children love it and I do too. The story shows students that everyone can have a bad day but you can make it better by being positive.
    Super!
This book is excellent for children. Ronald Morgan is having the worst day ever. The illustrations show poor Ronald's discouraged face on every page. However, there is an uplifting ending that encourages all of us to make it through even the worst of days. I highly recommend this book!
