Wow what a hot read! Upton and Winnie step siblings denying their attraction to each other for years until they an not take it anymore. I recommend reading this book!

Breaking the Block

Winnie has made the journey to the family's summer house at the request of her stepbrother, Upton. He is having writes block and needs his muse to help him out. Once he tells her his problem she makes a suggestion that he change a word. Now Upton writer's block is gone and he is now a writing machine. But that one suggestion has opened a jar and the lid will not go back on now. Will this open jar upset their life?

I liked the book. It was very quick read. The sex scenes in this book was off the charts. They will leave you wanting more and wishing you were Winnie. I recommend this book, series, and authors to others.

Upton and Winnie

Upton wanted Winnie to come keep him company while he was writing another steamy romance novel. Which Upton called his mommy porn. Upton needed Winnie their to get his mojo back. Winnie didn't believe him. Upton told Winnie that she was his cure for his writers block. This book was captivating and hot. I loved the storyline. The characters were well developed and it was a sweet, touching tale of two people whose happiness was long overdue. Jackson put his life on hold after the death of his fiance and their baby. Tracey put her happiness on the back burner to care for her dying grandmother. It just goes to show that good things happen to good people.....

Short and Sweet!

Novellas a tricky, always want to make sure the plot and characters are well developed. Jude Ouvrard has given us both with this short romance. There is a lot packed into this story, I could relate to the Alzheimer's grandmother and taking care of her. The portrayal of this is very realistic with the emotional journey it takes you on. Tracey is now at the beach, giving herself time after her grandmother dies, when her next door neighbor Jackson comes into her life. Their story of how they come together and heal each other is warm and affectionate. I love these two, Jackson has a way that makes you feel his love and Tracey has so much to give and is willing to move her life forward. Together they are sweet and loving. I especially loved the tie the two found with Tracey's grandmother and her muffins..who knew muffins could bring love?

Ann Bumbak gives a wonderful portrayal of this story. She is perfect for a short romance with the warmth in her voice that gives you that heartfelt feeling.

A short story that's complete and satisfying

Not only was this the love story of Tracey and Jackson, it was also a tribute to people now dead that significantly impacted both their lives.

The melancholy Tracey meets Jackson soon after her grandmother has passed away. While it's a case of instant attraction, we get to see them building a relationship and working towards their HEA over a longer period of time.

I was pleasantly surprised at how complete this story was given its short length. The story is tight and well paced and includes a cast of secondary characters that enhance, rather than detract the story.

Ann Bumbak accurately portrays the emotions of the characters. A couple of times, I felt the narration to drag but speeding it up made the book sound strange.

ONE CLICHÉ AFTER ANOTHER

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

First, my normal apology because it's very difficult to execute a good story that reads in under 2 hours. Now, all I can say about "Under The Sun" is that, IMHO, it's stale and cliché-ridden. Although well written, the dialogs and situations are unoriginal. I'd like to continue to review Ouvrard's work and discover that her books are normally better.

Ann Bumbak's narration was somewhat uncomfortable.

Owen and Annie despise each other or do they. They made a bet and lay all the cards on the table. Very very sizzling hot encounter between them and their true feeling relieved finally. I recommend reading this book.

Voice of the heart

This was a truly good story. Narration was great. A very good book and look forward to reading more.

Very disappointed with nararrator

I really enjoy Johanna Lyndsay books normally as it's very easy listening. However the person reading this book was very disappointing. The tone and lack of difference in the various characters was shocking. Compared to previous lyndsay books it was dire.

Disappointing

What disappointed you about Voice of the Heart?

The story was not the page-turner I was expecting; it was boring and despite persisting, I still gave up half way through. I couldn't care about the characters and the narrator's voice was not easy to listen to. Not a great combination if the story doesn't grip you either.

Amazing!

Loved this book, didn't want it to end. Well narrated too. Definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys family sagas.

this book title was a surprise, highly enjoyable

I have listen and red a lot of Barbara Taylor Bradford books. this one was a surprise and there was not sure about it, or whither I would like it. well I liked it enough I listen to it 3 times. it can maybe hard to follow but stick with it it's worth it if not a bit sad at time . audible recommended it. I love the people do they use to read the stories to you it's like having a book read out to you when you were a child.

Is this really a Barbara Cartland novel?

While this novel has a fairly interesting plot typical of the average Barbara cartland novel, I find it very badly written and amateurish, something like the garbage I churned out when I first started writing myself, and now burn with embarrassment when I consider that I had the nerve to send to an editor.

Well Done

What a solid short story. Rose knocked this one out of the park. Overall, I enjoyed this performance.

I really enjoyed this fast-paced novella. Interesting story and great narration! Highly recommend this audio!

Very entertaining and enjoyable

Short sweet and to the point no fillers, a good listen that holds your interest. Fast pace action and excitement. The only problem I have is not enough information was given about (how do I say this without giving the story awayhummm) who wanted something and was willing to kill to get it. How did she learn about this, is she in some group, was that the reason she married who she married? So many questions with no answers leaving a big gap. It was a great listen that I really did enjoy.

Ms. OToole narration was great, her character voices were good, her tones and emotions were great. You know who is talking and what they are feeling. Character voices were very pleasant, males sound manly. I thought her performance was great. No background noises, no volume changes, if any breaks were taken I could not tell. Her voice blends very well with the different characters and emotions. I could really hear the pain, uneasiness and sorrow as well as pleasure and hope in the character voices. I really enjoyed her natural voice it is very pleasant to listen to. She gives a highly entertaining listen.

The author puts a few twists and some surprises in the plot that keeps the story interesting. You pretty much know what is coming but it is still surprising. As I stated above a little more information is needed to fill in the blankets but beside that it was a very good story that I feel most will enjoy.

Good story

This was a good story but too short. Which, in my opinion, prevented me from being absorbed into it. The potential was there for a great suspense novel, but I didn't connect well with the characters. I've read other works by this author, and while most of her stories are short, it seems to work well for the genre. I felt this one could have been better if a little more time had been spent setting up the plot. It was still good though, and I would recommend the read. I wasn't impressed with the narrator in this one. In my opinion, she seemed a bit melodramatic and lacked a suspenseful tone.

This was an okay story.

This is the second story I've listened to by Mrs. Brower and needless to say, she's got my attention. While I wouldn't say there was really anything original (concept) in the story, it held my attention.

Narrator: I wasn't so much a fan of this narrator.

They Found Their Way to Heaven is a good book.

I enjoyed reading this book. The suspense about Elvina running away and if she would get the position was not in the least suspenseful. But the ending was very different from Barbara Cartland's usual endings.
