Fantastic Fluff... delightful and refreshing

... and not all fluff.. but mostly. Sometimes it is better to laugh than cry over the modern realities of being a woman during the "recession" of 2009-1010. Thanks for the humor without losing touch with the reality of these times.

Great Narrator; Great Story; Elegant Insights

I always have liked listening to Gabra Zackmans voice. Pamela Morsi wrote her character insights elegantly and it had a nice touch compared to other formulaic romance... this one steps into new social awareness with grace.

Surprising really given the title... it was fresh.

Laugh out Loud Funny

You will want to buy this book if just for the laughter it engenders & the smiles you will produce. The story is good for a lighthearted read. I will buy more of Pamela Morsi's books. The narrator speaks the parts well.

Great story of don't give up and a person can make it happen. Pulls the listener into the story very quickly. Listeners will want to finish the story straight through to the end.

Like the book, not the narrator

I really liked this book. I thought it would have been a LOT more fun, if not read through by this narrator. This narrator can do a fine job on a drama, but, on a supposed lighthearted book, she was a real drag. Depressing, even. I really wish she would have tried to have more fun with it, and, maybe even she did, but, to me she's too morose, and she just drives me nuts, that she has to end every sentence or at LEAST every OTHER, with a question or 'high note'. Who talks like that? Who reads like that? Better yet, who listens like that?? Not me. Well, at least not without becoming very annoyed. This gal should keep to dramAS? Get IT?

A very readable story that tells what goes on in the character's lives and allows the reader to dwell on the reasons for their choices. One wonders at the impact one woman can have on such different lives.

Heartening

I met Terry Kay recently at a Book festival. Several in my writers group spoke very well of his books. Since I valued their opinion I began with Lotties' story. The scenes were well set, the book flowed well, the characters jumped off the page and events were so plausible. It was a please to read and contemplate each personality. It was a story well told. I'm hooked.

Haunting

One of the best books I've ever read. Written as only Terry Kay could relay such a tender love story for the ages. Oh, how I will miss these rich characters.

Great Read

Taking Lottie Home is a fast read with a twisting plot and outcome. The story developed a little slow at first, but soon became a page turner!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Hotel Riviera to be better than the print version?

I loved the audio edition because I really like the narrator. I look for books she narrates because she has such a soothing voice. I really loved the story though. I could just picture the Hotel Riviera and wish I could find such a charming place to visit! I'm surprised it only has 3 stars because it's one of my favorities and I loved it as much the second time reading it as the first. Great characters! The description of Scrambled, Bad Dog and Chocolate are charming!

I've listened to many of her books and this is one of my favorites but she's always great.

Yes, it was hard to stop but it's long.

A bit 'ho hum' - not really erotica

I enjoy the author's writing - she fleshes out characters very well for a short story format. This one was a little boring though - very little sex (he's a psychologist, so he's very stoic too) and more on their dinner together, then helping one of his patients who went out with his friends and had a panic attack.

Yes, they do have their One Night Stand together and do end up staying together as a couple 'falling in love' but I didn't see this as a true erotica story. Must have been put in the wrong category by accident. It's a sweet enough tale - more of a Chick Lit type of story though.

bad narrator

it was hard to listen to, I didn't like how the narrators voice or how it was read. I will be avoiding books by this narrator.

Nice quick story!

This story is well written and edited. This is a new to me author that I was made aware of through newsletters. What pushed me to give these a try was the fact that they are offered in audio. As I am able to listen to books at work, I look for short length books that fill up the time at the end of a shift. These books are perfect! The characters and storylines are just so sweet, it's a great way to end a night!

A quick, easy, light read.

Steena Holmes is a very talented writer and I have enjoyed each of the books I have read. However, if I am to be totally honest, this is not what I would call one of her best. This story is fun, but very predictable in how it is going to end. We know from the beginning that Lexi has a secret and that she messed up when her fiance learned the truth of her past. But even as we gradually learn what that secret is and exactly how she made a huge mistake in not being more truthful to Paul, we still know that in the end all will be forgiven and there will be a happpy ending. I enjoyed the short 2 hour read, but I can't say that I loved this one.

If this is the first book you read by Steena, then I urge you to read her "Finding Emma" series and also "The Memory Child". Those are stories that will draw you in totally and are high quality writing. Those are books that I truly loved and I think you will also.There is a new book soon to be released that promises to be every bit as good as the Emma series and "The Memory Child". The title is "Stillwater Rising" and should be particularly timely to our lives. So look for it soon.

Heartwarming Romance!

This is such a heartwarming story. I got caught up in the story and read it all the way through in one sitting. Lexi came home to Canada from France after having her heart broken by Paul. By coincidence, her sister's friend contacts a Chocolatiere from France to provide sweets for her event business. What will happen when Lexi and Paul meet again? I highly recommend you read this book and find out.

Same old same old!

This is the same book as all the others in Decadent Events. Some same people or just their name changes and a slightly different story line. If you read one you've read them all. I enjoyed the book but this is not worth the effort as you know the end from the beginning.

Wonderful story

Paul and Lexi's story is beautiful. The way they separated was hard on both of them. Paul tried everything he could to find her.

Going for gold

The book over all was a good short read, that actually had a plot to it. Most shorter books don't so this surprised me. When it came to introducing Nicole to the other coaches Shelly and Ken, Ken could not get enough of Nicole.

This is what I don't get is all this talk he did about Nicole and then comes on the Shelly, but it seemed like she was just playing second best for Ken since he thought Nicole was out of his league. But he says he has been into Shelly for a long time.

Shelly is interested, but she is more interested in Nicole and cannot commette to Ken.

The days didn't seem to like up in a few spots (a month past and then Nicole says last night), that was kinda confusing.

Adding Ken to their little group for the weekend would propably be a great story for all three and a very interesting read.

Overall it was good. Just try not to get confused with the mixed up dates and the confused attrataction given off by Ken.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL READ!!

Tawny Weber has done it again! She's delivered a wonderful story that grabs you from the minute you start to read and holds you to the very end. Her characters are so down to earth and you'll find yourself pulled into the story line before you know it.

Gia is a woman who has it all - great friends and a job she loves. Yes, she has it all - except for the right guy. Too bad the guy she's really interested in is a co-worker who is a Commitmentphobe...or is he?

Luke is the kind of guy we all wish we had in our lives. He's gorgeous and totally masculine, but he's tired of the endless dating game. He's looking for the woman who will make his life complete, but is hounded by a well deserved reputation for playing the field.

This is a funny story of how Gia lets her fellow Girlz(friends) talk her into doing something she would never consider doing on her own, and it's all just to get Luke's attention so she can live out one of her Fantasies.

Can these two make it work? You'll have to read it to find out!

A Red Hot Read

Fearless is a Cosmo Red Hot Read by Harlequin. It definitely lives up to that description. This book has great friendships, hot sex, and a dreamy guy thatâs worth more than one fantasy night. I love the interaction between Gia and her girlfriends. Itâs great to see how they help Gia get her fantasy night with her crush, Luke.

The chemistry between Gia and Luke heats up the pages. The obstacles they face to find their HEA kept me turning the pages. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, hot read. Iâm looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.

5 Stars = A great read (I would re-read this one.)

Great reality break

If you are looking for a quick read, maybe during your lunch break, FEARLESS is for you. It's short, fun and guaranteed to take your mind off your crappy day at work. I loved the friendship of the girls in this book and the chemistry between Gia and Luke. Its hot and short enough to read in one sitting.

I really, really enjoyed this story. I think we'd all like to live out our fantasies, & to a certain extent could do this vicariously through Gia. Who wouldn't want a Luke!!!!! He was not only hot, hot, hot, but came across as very astute & also very caring. I think I would have liked the story to carry on a little bit more though.

A nice sequel

I enjoyed this book although as is often typical of sequels it was not quite as new and sparkly as when reading the first book. I continue to enjoy the story and especially enjoyed some of the sub plots, the story of Aunt Claire being paramount. As in the first though, LC Kane does a wonderful job reading. She has a knack of narration that makes her voice fade into the background allowing the characters to shine through. I do look forward to any more sequels.

Great second book in the series

As I was ambivalent about the first book, I did not expect to like this one as much as I did. The great thing about this book is that it takes up into the HEA, you get to see them working out the real life snags. There are some really wonderful moments with the supporting cast that make the book sing! I was really into this book, which is unique because I generally like my romances to have new leads each time around.

We get to see the whole family dynamic and how it is changing with Maddy and Aiden's relationship. There is drama, there is angst and most of all there is love!! Alright, so it is more drama than anything, but that was what I was in the mood for today.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by LC Kane, who is great. I love her sweet even tone, it really fits the read. Great pace keeps the story moving along. I also like that she did not try to go too deep for the men. I enjoyed her energy throughout and the emotion she was able to convey. This read smoother than the first book in the series. Just watch those hissing "S"s, I had to adjust my earphones at one point. I will be looking for more of her work!

While this was a great visit again with Maddy and Aiden, I would love to see other supporting characters take the lead in the next book. I am a sucker for everybody getting their HEA!!
