They discuss how much more complicated the grieving process became when Carla's Canadian Citizenship was approved - how excited she was about this new life she had been dreaming of, at the same time as being devastated over the loss of her mother: "I was so sad and so happy all at the same time and it was so hard for me to make sense of it". Carla opens up about how, after moving to Canada, she started pushing her feelings of grief away, not allowing herself to be sad because she did not know how to navigate the new health system, and how this lead to panic attacks.
