Nicci Levy, founder and CEO of Alchemy 43 joins the show! We ask Nicci how she went from working at a makeup counter to creating her own aesthetics bar that specializes in microtreatments. Nicci explains how she wrote a plan, attracted investors and was able to start a business that now has multiple locations in LA and NYC.

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month so we talk about diabetes and what it means to have prediabetes. We also give updates on the podcast as the year comes to an end and discuss where we are headed in 2022.

Dr. Steve Rad — a double board certified Obstetrician Gynecologist with sub-specialty training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine / Perinatology —joins the show! We talk with Dr. Rad about detailed ultrasounds, how fetal surgery is performed and why he fell in love with obstetrics. He also tells us what it was like watching his wife go through her own high-risk pregnancy while carrying twins and how that opened his eyes and made him a better doctor.

We talk about five serial killers (one who is still alive!) that were also Doctors of Medicine. One of the doctors on this list is also featured in the book The Devil in the White City which Leonardo DiCaprio and and Martin Scorsese are developing into a TV series. Other doctors on this list are accused of committing even more murders and stealing from their patients/victims.

Then, (10:30 minute mark) we review the Hulu series "Dopesick" starring Michael Keaton and Kaitlyn Dever that details the Sackler family and how Purdue Pharma marketed OxyContin to doctors.

The TV series is based on the book by journalist Beth Macy titled: "Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors, and the Drug Company That Addicted America”. Dr. Cohen discusses the reality of medical sales reps today and how doctors now prescribe less because of the opioid epidemic.

We discuss our favorite Sex Education season 3 characters and why we think this Netflix TV show is educationally important. We also discuss Halloween, where the haunted holiday originated and what we think this year's top costumes will be.
