Plus, we get into who we think should be considered for Entertainer of the Year and the use of prosthetics in HBO's White Lotus.

We talk the Best In Entertainment of 2021, mainly our favorite TV shows of the year - limited series and regular series (7:30 minute mark). We also discuss the best Christmas movies to stream and why there are so few movies on our Best In Entertainment list. Merry Grinchmas!

Nicci Levy, founder and CEO of Alchemy 43 joins the show! We ask Nicci how she went from working at a makeup counter to creating her own aesthetics bar that specializes in microtreatments. Nicci explains how she wrote a plan, attracted investors and was able to start a business that now has multiple locations in LA and NYC.

Then, (28 minute mark) Nicci opens up about fertility and why women should consider freezing their eggs. She also tells us how becoming a mom made her rethink how hard she works and why striking that balance makes her a better CEO.

When do surgeons get a holiday? We discuss what it means to be on-call and to be on back-up call and how to negotiate your holiday time as an MD. Then, (4 minute mark) we get into some gross anatomy and talk about a rectal foreign body removal that had to be performed on Thanksgiving day. And, Dr. Cohen gives some final thoughts on Movember and explains why hernias can be deadly.

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month so we talk about diabetes and what it means to have prediabetes. We also give updates on the podcast as the year comes to an end and discuss where we are headed in 2022.

Dr. Steve Rad — a double board certified Obstetrician Gynecologist with sub-specialty training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine / Perinatology —joins the show! We talk with Dr. Rad about detailed ultrasounds, how fetal surgery is performed and why he fell in love with obstetrics. He also tells us what it was like watching his wife go through her own high-risk pregnancy while carrying twins and how that opened his eyes and made him a better doctor.

We talk about five serial killers (one who is still alive!) that were also Doctors of Medicine. One of the doctors on this list is also featured in the book The Devil in the White City which Leonardo DiCaprio and and Martin Scorsese are developing into a TV series. Other doctors on this list are accused of committing even more murders and stealing from their patients/victims.

First, we discuss some celebrities that have been in the news for health issues - like Bill Clinton and Celine Dion. Then, (10:30 minute mark) we review the Hulu series "Dopesick" starring Michael Keaton and Kaitlyn Dever that details the Sackler family and how Purdue Pharma marketed OxyContin to doctors.

The TV series is based on the book by journalist Beth Macy titled: "Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors, and the Drug Company That Addicted America”. Dr. Cohen discusses the reality of medical sales reps today and how doctors now prescribe less because of the opioid epidemic.

We discuss our favorite Sex Education season 3 characters and why we think this Netflix TV show is educationally important. We also discuss Halloween, where the haunted holiday originated and what we think this year's top costumes will be.

We are so excited to have wine entrepreneur and Miss USA - Nana Meriwether - on the show! Nana tells us how finding out she was pre-diabetic led her on a wellness journey that completely changed her career path and life. And, she explains how studying herbalism led to her founding Cale, a healthier wine made from herbs, and the launch of Hibiscus Pinto Noir.
