Groundless (A Justified Podcast)

Finally back! Sorry about the slight echo from time to time, we are working on it!

Join us this week for a look at Season 4, Episode 6 of Justified, "Foot Chase." In this episode, your hosts: discuss *multiple* corrections, including one from a very special friend of the show, make the obvious(?) Lady Macbeth connection with Ava, discuss Colt's rapid descent into heroin addiction, and attempt to properly classify Arnold's sexual proclivities. Oh, also we talk briefly about the casting news for Justified: City Primeval, which started filming last week!

Join us in 2 weeks for a look at the "foxy grifter" episode, "Money Trap." Until then, subscribe, rate, and review - give us 5 stars in your app of choice! E-mail us - [email protected] or check us out on the socials @groundlesspod and @groundlesspodcast.

Content warning. This episode comprised of roughly 43% foot-based puns. So if feet gross you out or turn you on, you have been duly warned.

With that out of the way, it's time to take a look at Season 4, Episode 5 of Justified, "Kin." In this episode of Groundless, your hosts: set yet another relationship back on the path to forever, try to figure out what happened to all that cocaine and money that Beau and Arlo got from Drew, wonder whether Raylan's decision to allow Boyd to hear Mary's story about Drew was strategy or just coincidence, learn about early 80s Soviet politics in our word of the week segment, prove that NED RYERSON knows about the Groundless podcast(!), and appreciate the need to keep one's mouth shut until one knows the whole story - this means you Wynn Duffy!

Groundless takes a look at Season 4, Episode 4 of Justified, "This Bird Has Flown," the most chicken-y episode of Justified (and yes that counts the one where Raylan shoots Boyd while eating fried chicken).

In this week's episode, your intrepid hosts: segue from a guest star to discuss telenovelas and Days of Our Lives, appreciate the parallels drawn between Raylan and Alvin the convenience store clerk, notice that Ava's shirts appear to have gone down a size, learn about Longfellow Deeds (and find out the Adam Sandler movie is a remake!), and introduce a new segment, inspired by Raylan's love troubles, called Chris and Randy Fix Your Relationship, in which Chris and Randy, well, fix your relationship. Send your questions to [email protected] and we'll fix your relationship.

Don't forget to subscribe, rate, and review. Check us out on the socials: @groundlesspod or @groundlesspodcast or e-mail us [email protected]. Back in two weeks to meet the hill people. See you then!

Join Groundless for a look at Season 4, Episode 3 of Justified, "Truth and Consequences" - this week Chris and Randy are in the same room for the first time!

In this episode, your hosts: Discuss psychometry and that Walken/Sheen movie Raylan talks about, lament our inability to use the "IN THE FACE" clip from The Hangover, determine you can likely see Billy's sister without her shirt on in True Blood, try to figure out why Cousin Johnny feels so entitled to run a criminal enterprise despite a lack of passion and zero experience, and take the show to task a bit for the use of deus ex machina in the form of a psychic lady to advance the plot.

Check back in this spot in 2 weeks for a look at Season 4, Episode 4. Until then, don't forget to subscribe, rate, and review! Time to learn the Truth about Waldo!

Join Groundless this week for a look at Season 4, Episode 2 of Justified, "Where's Waldo?" In this weeks episode of Groundless, Chris and Randy: realize that the producers of Justified are going out of their way to introduce us to the more colorful characters of the Kentucky hills, contemplate Art's marshal stiffy, debate whether Cousin Johnny is actively working against Boyd or just bad at his job, appreciate the greatness of Wynn Duffy's line read, and discuss the possibility of a Quentin Tarantino-directed episode of Justified: City Primeval.

We are aware the audio is just a touch distorted, our apologies as we try to dial in new equipment. Please bear with us - we think we've addressed the volume leveling problem and now just need to play whack-a-mole to fix the distortion.

Join us in two weeks for a look at the next episode. Don't forget to subscribe, rate, and review. Check us out on the socials @groundlesspod and @groundlesspodcast. E-mail us at [email protected]. Don't forget to subscribe to the cleverly titled "Groundless: City Primeval."

Everyone stay frosty - we are back and covering an actual episode of Justified!

TIme to start the hunt for Drew Thompson - our first clue is Waldo Truth. Join us this week for a look at Season 4, Episode 1 of Justified, "Hole in the Wall." In this weeks episode, your hosts: discuss how this episode (and season) are better than we remember, somehow end up talking about John Maynard Keynes, decide that 2013 started our exit from the pop music desert of 2001-2012, realize that seeing the "home alone" plot in any movie ruins that movie now, and learn what we need in our "go-bag" in our Top 5 segment.

Join us back here in 2 weeks for a look at our next episode, and start the search for The Truth about Waldo. Don't forget to subscribe, rate, and review and tell your friends about the show. We're back! Time to examine our Elmore Leonard-movie-of-the-season, Out of Sight.

In this episode, Chris and Randy: discuss whether the moral of this movie is that it's fine to be a creepy weirdo as long as you look like George Clooney, remember a time when movies could gross less than a billion dollars and be the biggest movie ever, acknowledge that the cast of this movie is amazing top-to-bottom, note the underrated hotness of Catherine Keener (and her comedic chops), and wonder if this is a better movie with Samuel L. in a bigger role.

Join us in 2 weeks, Valentine's Day, for our look at Season 4, Episode 1 of Justified, "Hole in the Wall." Until then, don't forget to subscribe, rate, and review.
