Hi everyone!
One thing we as people of color fail to realize is just how much inflammation or irritation can be setting us back from achieving our skincare goals?
In today's episode, I share some wisdom on how to reduce hyperpigmentation, which is something we tend to struggle with by simply minimizing irritation or inflammation where possible.
I do not want us to focus on what we have no control over like acne, skin disease or trauma. But instead, to focus on everyday skincare habits. This could be in the sunscreen, toners, serums, face washes and even moisturizers we use.
I hope you enjoy this episode. Please do not forget to share!

ABOUT TODAY's EPISODE
Hi everyone!
Are you struggling with your skin goals even though you are using the latest and/or best skincare actives like tretinoin, retinol, azelaic acid, vitamin c, peptides etc?
For the record, there is absolutely nothing wrong with actives, in fact your skin needs them to be the best they can be. That said, they can be very irritating and we tend to trivialize just using the bare minimum to support our skin barrier.
Did you know that a healthy skin barrier MUST be incorporated into your skincare regimen to reap the most benefits? Actives are great but I think non-actives might just be what you are missing.
Enjoy today's episode and please support my podcast!

ABOUT TODAY's EPISODE

We will explore common hair problems such as hair fall, dandruff and split ends, and see if these hair care practices we are avoiding, could actually help mitigate these.
So come back next week as we do a deep dive. Don't forget to subscribe/follow this podcast!

ABOUT TODAY's EPISODE
Hi everyone! Following from last week's episode, in today's episode, we look at how to actually prepoo. Remember, as much as this step is beneficial to a healthy hair care regimen, it is totally optional. Hair care should be fun and enjoyable. I was quite clear in last week's episode, but in case I was not, this is exactly how to prepoo.

ABOUT TODAY's EPISODE
Hi everyone! Today, we look at what pre-poo (pre shampoo treatment) is, if it is necessary, the science behind it and how to apply the knowledge.
Pre-poo treatments are very popular, but sometimes not properly understood. This episode breaks it all down with some science receipts, as per usual! Enjoy!

ABOUT TODAY's EPISODE
Following up from last week's episode on the hair cuticle, today's episode focuses on all we can do to preserve the cuticle. If you want to see inches, and you have not been paying attention to the hair cuticle, then this episode is for you. I discuss why the cuticle is important, what causes damage, and steps we can take to preserve it, as long as possible. Cuticle damage will lead to exposure of the hair cortex, leading to split ends and we do not want that! Enjoy, and make sure you apply the knowledge.
