Today I had the absolute pleasure to speak with NACAR legend #42, Jimmie Johnson. We learn all about Jimmie’s latest passion project as he transitions from one of the winningest careers in NASCAR into the open chassis IndyCar racing series. Jimmie explains that even with a long and successful career behind him, he is only just getting starting as he loves the new challenge and ability to continue learning more about racing with the IndyCar series. Jimmie also shares he pre-race routine and how he gets into the race mindset regardless of what car he’s in. This was a super fun interview, and even though this is a somewhat shorter deep dive interview, Jimmie shares some incredible nuggets of gold with some of his experiences and shared knowledge from his father.

Jimmie has an extensive list of awards and accolades including 7x NASCAR Cup Series Championships, 5x Driver of the Year Award, as well as ranked No. 1 on Forbes.com's list of "Most Influential Athletes" for two consecutive years. Jimmie, alongside his wife Chandra, has also set up the Jimmie Johnson foundation, donating millions of dollars to children, families and communities in need.
