But there are all kinds of hidden treasures to be found in them, as we'll see today on Growing in the Word. Pastor Jim Jarrett draws our attention to Genesis five and the generations of Adam. First, we take notice of a man named Enoch, who walked faithfully with God before the Lord took him away.

As we look at this biblical family tree, we are reminded that God was in control of humanity from the very beginning! You'll find today's scripture in Genesis five.

We've come to Genesis chapter four and the descendants of Cain. There are remarkable similarities to our day today providing great insight to our dilemma. We'll start with Genesis four, verse twenty-one.
