Why are we so afraid of failure? As children, we are not afraid to try even if that means we do not get it right. But by the time we are adults, failure is so much more unbearable compared to when you were a child. Why is society so against failure? Why do we denigrate those who fail who create a work culture where failure is punished? In order to embark on any sort of creative or innovative venture, failure is going to be your friend. You will try many things that don't work until you finally get the right answer. Yet instead of encouraging people to try even if they fail remains forbidden in so many ways.
In today's episode, I look at how failure should be seen as a trove of lessons, a journey of the prototypes until you get to the final version of it. Those who try and fail should be respected for their gumption. It is not easy to take on a task that many run away from even if you fail at it, you will have lessons for all. Let's all stop being so lily-livered and try something before it is too late. You either try and fail or never try, never fail but live with regrets.
