Building on the topic of our last episode “The trouble with your business dreams”, in today’s episode we are focusing on playing on one’s strengths, in order to understand and take the necessary steps towards their true calling, business calling to be exact.

There is a topic that is very popular on social media, that of realising your calling from a very young age, or realising in just one instant what you were meant to do for the rest of you life. And that may be true for some people, but it’s not the standard for everyone. So for the rest of us out here that didn’t dream since we were 6 years old of owning our own business, we are left with putting the pieces together and rely on all the experience and preferences we have accumulated.

Today we focus on strengths, as a way to determine what actually we love doing for our business and if we are putting ourselves on the path of the best possible conditions to enjoy this calling.

Any entrepreneur will testify that at some point on their business journey, they have doubted themselves, their purpose, ambitions and expectations. They may ask themselves: what are my dreams for this business? At the end of the day, we all want to aim high and reach for the stars. Our dreams give us power, hope, joy and something to look forward to.

In today’s episode we will take a look at the obstacles we create in our mind that make us feel like the dreams we have are too big; the impatience and permeant comparison to others, to start with.

When creating a second business or taking the step from employee to entrepreneur is always scary in the beginning, a lot of doubts and insecurities but with dreams and success visions on the side.

In addition, September can be a heavy month because we are “forced” so to speak, to find again the fast pace we had before the summer break. And this being 2 years after the COVID-19 outbreak, everyone is particularly tired and still recovering, if any health wise, then financial for sure.

Usually after a break period as we just had now the summer holidays, it’s normal to make a quick scan of your business and sometimes if the numbers are not up to what we expect, we might start to wonder if we are on the right track, even in the right business.
