Allison is a former journalist and currently is the Marketing and Communications Specialist for Child Crisis Arizona, an organization that has been focusing on building safe kids and strong families in the Valley for more than 40 years. At home Allison is a mom to three biological daughters and a foster mom to one 18 year old boy. 

As a foster parent Allison always  hears "Bless you for doing that!" or "I could never do that." or sometimes "I've thought about it for when my kids are older." Allison wants everyone to know that while fostering is a HUGE commitment it doesn't have to be intimidating and there are so many great kids in the system who need a chance to live in a normal home.

Episode #63 of the Gruler Nation Podcast was 100% impromptu. This episode features Public Figure, Michael Brown Sr., the father of Michael Brown Jr. who was shot in 2014 by white police officer Darren Wilson in the city of Ferguson, Missouri.  

Michael's son was only 18 years old and had been walking down the street with his friend before the altercation with Wilson began. There are always two sides to a story but in this podcast we get the opportunity to hear the father's side of what happened and how he dealt with losing his son too soon. Michael goes into depth on how he learned to forgive himself, how he continues to heal, and what he does today to give back and spread his son's story to others.

Laetitia went to law school at the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom and is currently working on becoming licensed to practice law in Arizona. She recently received her LL.M from the Georgetown University Law Center and currently serves as Miss Maricopa County 2019.  

Laetitia is dedicated to advocating for criminal justice reform in Arizona. She chairs a subcommittee at the Arizona House of Representatives with Representative Walt Blackman's Ad Hoc Committee to highlight the voices of women and children impacted by the prison system. Laetitia has many more charity and volunteer events coming up such as being part of Girl Scouts Beyond Bars, which is a program for girls with incarcerated mothers.
