Paddy opens his final show as a host of the GSMC Baseball Podcast by covering one of baseball's most interesting careers. Pete Rose was an incredible baseballer, but he was a man not without vice. Rose would become the best hitter in MLB history by owning the all-time hit record, but with accusations of corked bats and admissions of gambling on the sport of baseball, Rose was banned for life. Following that Paddy decides to talk about Larry Doby, the second player to break the color barrier in Major League Baseball. Doby would have a very successful career, but it was not a career with a lot of appreciation by non-players. Paddy open's today's show by giving his power rankings from the past few weeks in baseball. One of the most shocking teams that have slid a bunch has been the Los Angeles Angels who have lost 11 games in a row coming into Monday, June 6. Following that Paddy talks about some of the most interesting trade pieces that could be on the move this season. One player, in particular, is Wilson Contreras who is lighting baseballs on fire with his bat this season. The only issue is that there has never been a team to trade for a catcher, in-season, to win the World Series. Following the trade talk, Paddy talks about the New York Metropolitans Baseball Club, inc. and their history as one of the first expansion ever MLB expansion teams. Kevin starts the episode by wrapping up the NCAA Conference tournaments and discussing the 64 teams that celebrated a NCAA Tournament bid.
