A Native American group has put the rush on against the Washington Commanders and demanded the organization revert its name to "Redskins" – the name the team adopted when it was in Boston in 1933. Retired NFL star Michael Oher, whose supposed adoption out of grinding poverty by a wealthy, white family was immortalized in the 2009 movie "The Blind Side," petitioned a Tennessee court Monday with allegations that a central element of the story was a lie concocted by the family to enrich itself at his expense. As we all watched Johnny Manziel take over the college football world back in 2012, winning a Heisman Trophy and putting Texas A&M on the SEC map in its inaugural season in the sport's toughest conference, we knew we were witnessing something unique, something awesome. What we saw with our eyes, on the field, brought us to our feet. Sacramento District Attorney Thien Ho has threatened to file criminal charges against Sacramento city officials in response to their handling of the homelessness crisis, accusing them of being too lenient in their approach and failing to enforce rules.
