GUEST MIX SERIES

It's ya boiiii @subjoi in this week for the highly acclaimed SlothBoogie weekly guestmix.

He delivered a slammin' mix that will well and truly get the juices flowing for the freekin' weekend. The @houseum regular has racked up over 2.5 milli plays with his track 'The Way I Feel' and also features on lo-fi hype channel Slav. Be sure to head over to his profile for your fill of deep and lo-fi house with garage and disco leanings.

A little intro into the forthcoming SB JAMZ label we'll be launching in September, more on that later...

On this week's guest mix are our White Isle brethren, Melon Bomb, choice disco and house cuts are the order of the day (just the way we like it of course)…

During the summer months, the team enjoy a monthly residency at legendary Ibiza hotel, Pikes. Once run, owned and built by legendary Ibiza playboy Tony Pike, the hotel was the scene for Wham’s ‘Club Tropicana’, Freddie Mercury’s 41st Birthday, and hotel regular Julio Iglesias. So it seems only natural that we pack up our SlothBoogie bum bags, grab the sunscreen, and head for Pikes to play alongside the Melon Bomb crew on Friday 6th July.

We're keeping it local with our latest guest mix from fellow Londoner Mark Hume. We've known Mark for years now and regularly cross paths on the London circuit whether at one of his Cadillac Soundsystem parties or via the Netil radio crew. We've always been a fan of his selections so thought we'd get him in for a spin in the SB mix series knowing full well he'd provide some delicious summery goodness with just the right amount of vintage flavours.

Catch Mark at his new Riide party with Austin Ato at Shoreditch Platform July 20th:

It's a real pleasure to get long time favourite producer @matthias-zimmermann into SB HQ for the guestmix this week. The @sound-pellegrino regular has stacks on stacks of quality & forward thinking music under his belt with each track actually named after a person. Known for his raw & upfront sound within his productions, his self titled LP a couple years ago now was a firm favourite of ours and we've been told he's currently working on a follow up LP!. More recently though he's been dipping his toes into his passion for disco & soul, with an awesome array of edits and mixes over on his profile, fueled by his heavy obsession for vinyl digging.

Be sure to catch him and Strip Steve play this weekend in Berlin at the Jazz Cabbage ball!: https://www.facebook.com/events/535017133561485/

Its June already?! and its Friday, so it can only mean one thing! SB Guestmix time! and we've got Vienna-based producer @sam-irl.

With releases on Jazz & Milk, Brownswood, Sampling as an Art and recently Freerange, this guy has been making the best crunchy, MPC-driven jazz-infused House music dating right back to 2006.

Paring exquisitely with this weeks art, Sam's mix is aimed directly at the sunshine, so kick back and relax sisters & brothers...
