GUEST MIX SERIES

Italian pairing Ruff Stuff have been living quite a charmed existence of late. Known individually as Nanni & Francois, this house-loving pair have rocked up on a host of well-renowned labels, including Berlin Bass Collective, Neovinyl, Quality Vibe and King Street Sounds. However, it’s their work on their own label, the aptly names Ruff Stuff Music Ltd, for which they’re arguably best renowned.

This mix showcases their signature house sound, and also further illustrates what rude health Italian house producers are currently in.... may also have something to do with living in Berlin of course.

We've got a bit of NYC music royalty in the mix this week with @dfa-records mainstay @the-juan-maclean. We're chuffed to bits to have him take over the series with some jams that he dug out of his record collection especially so hit play and get struttin' into the weekend.

If you're in need of a little update on all things JM then you'll be pleased to know he's had a couple of outings on DFA this year, as well as a tasty edit EP for the homies at Razor-N-Tape and some tracks for Classic Music Company. Then remix wise he's also been keeping busy with MANIK & CHVRCHES releases... still as busy as ever then!

This weeks instalment is strictly Detroit, with one of Mo-town's founding fathers of techno, Eddie Fowlkes. His 30+ years of moving a dancefloor and his 150+ deep catalog of soulful classics speak for themselves. So sit back and relax... you're in perfectly capable hands...

We welcome the Million Dollar Disco label boss Al Kent to the mix series with an hour of nothing but the finest in Disco and Boogie.

Al really has been there and done that when it comes to the Disco House sound with over 20 years in the game. His discography is pretty special with critically acclaimed compilations for BBE as well as releases on a who's who of edit labels over the years... Jisco, Kat, Real Thing, Edit, Kojak Giant Sounds and Razor n Tape to name just a few.

We're very excited to get stuck into the legendary diggers mix and hear some of the selections from a man who's spent his life hoarding rare soul and disco records. Dig in!

We welcome @marlonhoffstadt to the guest mix series with an immediately slammin' mix to get you straight into the weekend swing of things.

It seems Marlon has really switched gears this year and has been pumping out or curating some really exceptional releases. We've been especially into his releases via our friends at @the-ransom-note and of course his Midnight Themes output.
