Guy L. Oliver is a professional writer of more than 25 years, an avocational blogger, published author, and father of three. He resides in Austin, Texas with his wife Heidi and his best friend Liesl.

Even though Tim struggled with addiction and spent time in prison for those choices, he was working on repairing his life and the damaged relationships.  This is why Guy says he grieved the "lost potential" of what their relationship could have been.
