This week we take a quick break from our Black History Month celebration to cover “Gwen Shamblin: Starving for Salvation.” The irresistible Gwen Shamblin rose to power as head of the Southern megachurch Remnant Fellowship and Weigh Down Workshop. As the church grew, so did her grip as its iron-fisted leader, hoarding money, power, and influence. Despite a carefully curated image -  including hair teased to record heights, the church is scrutinized for its controversial practices.
