Madison Griffiths is a Melbourne creator who wears many hats - tattoo
artist, journalist, podcast producer just to name a few.
With a career
that is constantly changing and becoming more nuanced, Madison has quickly
become one of the champion voices for important and taboo topics. After
recently diving head first into the tattoo world she has released season
two of ‘Tender’ on Broadwave podcast network, providing a raw and
vulnerable look into life after an abusive relationship.
Madison has been working as a freelance journalist for the past few years,
partnering often with Vice Australia, covering a range of topics like the
march for men, and red pilled women.
Being adapt at handling challenging
topics and throwing herself in the deep end, she has carved herself a space
as a writer with a unique voice and thought provoking sentiment.
Tender
season one walked us through a confronting and vulnerable experience in
which Madison escaped an abusive relationship, season two finds Mads in
producer chair with co-producer of Tender, Beth Atkinson Quinton (@bethaq)
who is also the host of @theglasshouse.rrras - as we follow the story of
Roia Atmar and her experience.
We were floored at the production quality the team behind Tender have
delivered, more importantly though, floored at the genuine, at times scary,
impactful story that the season shares with us. It left me with a feeling
of responsibility of care for those around us and a greater understanding
of the real horror that can happen in any home.
We were lucky enough to
spend an hour with her and listen to her exciting tattoo career, a few
hilarious anecdotes of her time as a journalist, and a thorough walk
through on Tender and domestic abuse.
Tender is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify with a weekly release
schedule. You can start your listening journey here.
You can keep up to date with Mads through Instagram.
