In this episode, we discuss our Top Five favourite wrestlers... not who we thought were the best, but our favourites (that's an important distinction to make). If we list them here, there'll be no point in listening so, sorry about that.

As per usual, there's a lot of laughs but we did make a valiant effort to bring this episode in at one hour. We blew it, but not by much. Actually, we blew it by quite a lot but we phased it out at the end to teach us both a lesson... and it still clocks in at an hour and a half. One day, we'll get it right.

Welcome to another multi-parter which we have (not really) tried to disguise as one long episode. This week, we broach our Top Ten TV Shows Of All Time In Under Four Hours Even If Everybody Else Thinks They Suck episode. Please don’t try and count them…there must be at least forty mentioned because one of us simply can’t commit (and yes - we did throw out Doctor Who and Lost for being shoddy once too often when they needed to look at where they'd placed the bar). We do however include (and we’ll name a few of them here because algorithms thrive on this kind of thing): Life On Mars, Game of Thrones, Monkey, The Walking Dead and Californication but you know how it works by now… along the way we will name-check shows you may never have heard of, so grab a pencil. 

To save you some time, if you're listening to the end waiting for one of us to mention Metal Mickey, you're going to be really disappointed. Then again, if you're hoping somebody might mention Sniffer, you're in luck!

Well... this one took a while due to a) running with scissors in the street and b) horses running wild in the night, but we stuck with it and broke the 3 hour mark (and trust us, it was edited down). To hell with Part 1, 2 and 3 we thought... they can handle it. Thus we hereby proudly present: The Best New Guy That Was Brought Into The Band And Turned Out To Be Better Than The Original Guy That Got Booted Out episode. Sure, it's a little cumbersome for a title, but now it really does do what it says on the tin.

There's all kinds in here ranging from Journey and Iron Maiden right across to bands you might never have heard of but can find easily enough on your streaming platform or YouTube. This rabbit hole was deep and held many distractions - as always, we apologise for none of it.

It’s Part Two of our Top Ten 80s Movies and this one is long show as well, but everybody knows that long-form is the way to go so that’s OK. There’s even some World Cup chat, an appearance by Howard the Duck, the knowledge that Mork and Mindy originated in Happy Days, a Big Bird documentary to watch and, well… our advice (if you want to come down the rabbit hole with us) is to arm yourself with a pencil because there’s at least 100 digressions that will take you to a pot of gold.

This week, we thought it would be fun to discuss our favourite 1980s movies - as it turned out, the damn thing got pretty long so this is merely Part One. Part Two will turn up next week. And hey… aren’t you in for a treat because in this episode there’s some bonus material at the beginning in which we discuss important topics such as Pot Noodles, which crisps make the best sandwiches and other snacks to help you stay healthy and alive in these testing times. As such, if you feel the need to wander off to grab some yams to see you through the next two hours, knock yourself out.

Along the way, we also managed to discuss (amongst other things) zombies, discovering that Bernard Bresslaw wasn't actually a wrestler and the repercussions of asbestos poisoning, which goes a long way to explain why it took two hours to run through 10 movies. Don't expect Part Two to any slicker.

Happy Naked Podcast Day! Thankfully, we're audio only, so there's no need to run for cover and hide under your blankets. 

This week, we started with a loose theme of who the better band was of the holy heavy metal trinity that was WASP, RATT and Motley Crue. After much meandering I don't think we arrived anywhere but that's fine because podcasting is all about the journey not the deliberation. Post-plan, we then dived into some books, some TV, twitter nonsense, monster movie chat and lots of other wholesome stuff that will turn you into an endorphin machine. 

Don't forget: we consume all this garbage so that you don't have to. It's our way of giving back to the world that owes us nothing.

Halloween Special: The HorrorCast

This week, we wander through our top ten horror movies of all time… with very little crossover (which was not what either of us thought would happen). You can expect very few of the usual suspects and a lot of surprises - we even know what we’re talking about with some of them, which is amazing When we’d finished, we then tried to crowbar in as many as we enjoyed that we didn’t mention simply because, well, if you’re looking for a movie for Halloween, we don’t think any of those mentioned will disappoint.

Half a Stick of Dynamite is presented by Sion Smith and Nathan Coates - we played in our band, Baby Dynamite, together for nearly ten years, fell out of touch and twenty five years later, picked up the gauntlet like one of us had gone out for milk.

The first real episode in which everything works as it should! This week we had intended to talk about our respective entry points into our love of Kiss - and we did - but we also got distracted after a while and ventured off to talk our other beloved co-interests otherwise known as Castle Blak (and Monster Island/Blak) and Twisted Sister. That's right... it's one of those niche episodes where you either know what we're talking about or you don't. 

Let's get it on.

An apology before we begin! Mr Coates' sound quality is far superior to that of Mr Smith. This would be because 'somebody' - that would be Mr Smith - unplugged his podcast mic to release a port for something else earlier in the week, forgot, and carried on regardless (idiot).

It's not super terrible but neither is it as awesome as we would like. Live and learn folks. Hope it doesn't spoil your enjoyment but we are still acclimatising here anyway as to what makes a good podcast between us. Do we have a subject? Do we just throw it all at the wall and see what sticks? Is it OK to look up things online in the middle of a sentence... there's nothing quite like growing up in public.

Episode three will be excellent. We promise.
