The Patron Saint of our podcast, St. John Paul II, has his feast day on October 22nd and we've decided to dedicate the whole month to sharing more about him. It's been over 18 years since his passing and in this episode we would like to honor and re-humanize him by discussing several facts about his life we were not able to cover in our first "Walking in the Footsteps show, Episode 13. Listen in to part 2 of walking in the footsteps as Colby, Becki and Tom share interesting and little known details like JPII's first job, his travels around the world, including Louisiana, as well as some of his life experiences that led him to write, "Man and Women, He created them": A Theology of the Body. And you will want to listen to this episode all the way to the end because, as a bonus, Becki shares a creative retreat she designed and implemented as a way for youth to virtually walk in the footsteps of St. John Paul II.

Join Colby and Tom as they reflect on Pope Paul VI's document, Humane Vitae, that caused a rupture in the Catholic Church when it was released 55 years ago today. The document was misrepresented by many in the church at the time but it played a very significant role in St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body. During this episode we will also hear from Adele and Mrs Brenda DesOrmeaux who give us a historical look at Humane Vitae and share some of it's prophecies that have come true.
