If you’ve kept up with the Seat Time videos, you know the Astra Offroad Handlebars I had on the Sherco were one of the parts that truly changed the way I rode the two stroke. When I got on the GasGas, I knew I also wanted to ride with the low-rise Astra handlebars. I learned the hard way that the weight and rotating mass of a four stroke changes the handling characteristics of the motorcycle, creating the need for a higher rise handlebars than I previously thought. 

In this video, I discuss the testing I did to find the right handlebar position for the Astra Gemini 38mm rise handlebars I’m now running on the EX 350F. I also added a few podcast snippets from Jörli at Astra on more specifics of four stroke handlebar positioning and handlebar sweep. I learned a lot during this process, and I hope you do too.
