Isabeau feels her less conventional life is more exciting.    She left he home in Canada at 18 to travel.  She also said that her partner is the polar opposite.

Isabeau got into Latin Dancing.  She asked someone to ask to dance and she said that he was a practicing alcoholic.  Isabeau had no idea about being around that kind of person.  The wonderful story is he is 25 years recovered.    Married many years she realized that it worked because of their difference and their commonality.    A counterbalance.

Isabeau identifies with ambitious perfectionists.  This is where she works well in coaching her clients.

What is it like for her two children to have a perfectionist parent?  This we speak to.  "What will mom think as a perfectionist?"

Holding a mirror up to people is important.  

"Change is hard".

Perfection is different for everyone.  It will look different to any one person.  Some it's vision, some it's the responsibility and we also speak to "The special flavour of me", as Isabeau explains.

COVID has caused some perfectionists to need a helping partner and need accountability in making decisions.  As perfectionists "we are afraid to take the wrong path".  And, "there is a lot of shame in perfectionism".

Kevin always liked people.  Their stories.  Kevin was employed as a Media Director for an organization that took him all over the world.  His journey took him to Egypt and Iraq, Burma after the cyclone hit, and other regions of the world to help people in need.  Although fascinating and engaging others through stories, being a media "guy" was not something he wanted to do all his life.  He wanted to help others.

The epiphany he had was moving into a role where he could do just that.  So he launched out to start a coaching business.  Kevin is so honest about self-consciousness, insecurities, and his empathy for people.

What a great story of someone who jumped into a new life and let go of his "secure" position.

Also interesting was Kevin's chat about his mentor Bob Proctor.  Our interview was only a couple of days before the world had to say goodbye to Bob Proctor.   Kevin is one of the very lucky ones who even had the chance to speak to him over the phone.  Imagine speaking to this wonderful mentor and even having his phone number!

Kevin says that he set his goal.  And he succeeded, and he says it was very special.

Dr. Ruth Gotian wanted to know more about extreme success. 

Her book, "The Success Factor" has just been released and in it, she shares interviews with those people who achieved extreme success.  Dr. Ruth realized the people she interviewed were like any one of us as a person, however, she was fascinated about how they achieved the success they did.  "Raw talent".  If you have it, work it.   Don't couch it.

Dr. Ruth met some amazing people and with that comes the results in her book.  Constantly learning and practicing and taking your weakness and turning it into a strength.  "Turn your weakness into a strength", she says.  What an interesting thought.  "Some people fear failure, some fear success, high achievers fear not trying."

If to now. 

Dr. Ruth spoke to not a question of "if, it is a question of "how".  Even though this time of COVID those who really wanted to achieve found the "how".

This was such a great interaction with Dr. Ruth Gotian.  Including discussing writing a book. 

A great takeaway from this is to never give up.  Never quit.  And it's never about the metals.

For more than 14 years Ralph has been organizing small group tours around the world.  It began with a photographic focus (Photo Enrichment Adventures), and now he has a new brand called Alla Campagna Experiences, shorter trips, longer stays in one place, and diving into the cultural aspects.   This is open to both photographers and non-photographers.  The Photo Enrichment Adventures brand does not mean you have to be a pro.  It's for anyone who is interested in photography.

Ralph shared his new find.  Georgia.  NO, not the "Georgia" in the US, The Republic of Georgia.  Roy and I caught on to that having a friend who just moved there.   Ralph says it's the oldest wine culture in the world, and the food is great and very reasonably priced.  And where is that?  It borders Russia and Turkey.  Time to use Google! :)

Ralph comes from of background of restaurants, a third-generation restaurateur, so the incorporating of food in the travels is one of the best things.  "The reason we travel is to get out of our comfort zone".   Ralph does scouting before he brings his groups to a certain place.  This is him going on his own, trying everything, meeting everyone, and sharing the best experiences.

Ralph is not at all against Smart Phone Photography.  In fact, it is less obtrusive and you can get those casual candid shots.  As Ralph said, you can give the worst camera to a great photographer and you will still get a better picture than giving a great camera to a not-so-good photographer.

We touched upon COVID, and Ralph did agree it had an effect on his business.  It didn't stop him from traveling, however, whenever he could.

Be ready for a point and shoot mode, with all settings right for the condition.  Anticipate the decisive moment then point and shoot.  And remember "Life is too short not to travel."

What an enjoyable episode with Darrell and Veronica.

The couple shared about the challenges of marriage and the ways to overcome these challenges.

The two of them met while Darrell was serving in the Military.  Veronica explained that Darrell was very open and honest about the challenges their relationship would have to endure in this lifestyle.

They spoke to their first child that they chose to have as Darrell was in his last year of service.   The two did not anticipate that their first child would experience separation anxiety from his father at such a young age.

It was mentioned that divorces used to be primarily the cause of financial difficulties, however, they said today it is more about emotional distancing.

Very interesting information and worth a listen to for anyone, and even more so for any young couple considering marriage.  Thank you for your wisdom and advice, Darrell and Veronica.
