Eli the priest sees her praying and encourages her, and Hannah chooses to trust God’s care. God answers Hannah’s prayer, and she names her baby Samuel, remembering that he was a gift from the Lord. True to her promise, Hannah later brings Samuel back to serve God, showing what faith, gratitude, and keeping your word look like.
