Be Careful with your words, once they are said, they can only be forgiven never forgotten. There were certain things spoken to both of us, spoken between us which remain with us permanently like an old wound. Please never talk in anger because once words are spoken, they can't be taken back. Also, a person will always remember how you make them feel. Guilt is the worst enemy of any relationship, when guilt becomes the basis of a relationship, it no longer has any meaning, it just becomes a burden for the people in the relationship. And the most important think before you speak so that words dont damage your relationships permanently.

Indian Parents don't realize how they are controlling their children and their marital relationships. They think they are doing it for the better of their children but they don't see how it's just their own patterns and trauma turning them into controlling human beings. They project their own problems onto their kids and think that by controlling them, they will be able to feel better or fix what was done wrong to them. This doesn't help anyone at the end of the day. Parents end up alienating their own children and as a result, the children distance themselves from their parents. In this episode, we reveal how this dynamic played out in our life and almost broke our marriage in the first 6 months.

In this Episode of HWA we will explore the profound ripple effects of generational trauma on family dynamics. We talk about what happened with us right after marriage and how this cycle of trauma started playing out on us. The blockbuster movie Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani talks about this generational trauma beautifully. This movie was eerily close to our love story so we decided to delve deep into the heart of the matter - how generational trauma in parents can shape and, at times, strain the marital relationships of their children.
Generational trauma, passed down through generations like an invisible heirloom, often goes unnoticed. It silently influences our behaviors, beliefs, and choices. In this eye-opening discussion, we'll navigate the intricate web of how unaddressed trauma from the past can infiltrate the present, affecting not only the individuals but also the bonds they share with their partners.
How do our Parents transfer the effects of their trauma or hurt onto us and try to control or change our relationships, especially with our spouse? We unravel the connections between the past and the present, shedding light on the generational trauma that quietly influenced our lives and tested our relationship within the first 6 months of our marriage!
